Errol Brown dead aged 71

Hot Chocolate lead singer Errol Brown died today of pancreatic cancer.

    RIP .. Hot Chocolate made some great singles, real pop masterpieces .. pancreatic cancer is one of the very worst cancers .. 71 is no age at all

  • A nice little belated tribute in the Times obituary column this week. In the 1990s in Esher, Errol was a keen bridge player, (but evidently not so good as his wife). Whenever he was successful with a declared bid, he would break into 'Everyone's a Winner', when he won a particularly difficult contract, he'd break into 'You Sexy Thing' much to the delight of his fellow players .. just a nice little story about what sounds like a very sociable and nice man who died far too young
