10 plus goals from Midfield/Wide in a season since 1946/1947 to date.

To have a midfield/Wide player scoring 10 or more goals in a season is a good record and what you would want every season. Sadly that's not the case and in a few instances they move on to other clubs. One or two on the list I know will cause debate in whenever they played on the wing, up front, or centre midfield that season. For example I have left out Johnny Summers even though he played wide on the left, he played all across the attacking line. I have also left out Jason Euell from the 2001/2002 season as he played the majority as a striker. The following 2 seasons were a mixture between midfield, out wide and up front.

slightly surprised Graham Stuart doesn't appear on that list, one of my favourite players from that era - then again I don't remember him banging them in

Only in 99/00. Our best run actually came with Stuart and Andy Todd

If I've read it right, there's a 12 year gap in that list after KP in 72/73, although I've got a feeling we may have had one or two prolific forwards during that time.

How did Mick Bailey fare in this ranking ? Excellent in mid-field and could certainly strike a ball.

Having seen much of O'Linn in the 50's, would think of him as an out and out forward - again a player that could certainly strike the ball - was not always appreciated by the crowd , and seemed indifferent to the moans and groans. Nonetheless a key member of the South African contingent that lit up the Valley for several seasons , and like his compatriot Leary had a summer job with KCC.
