I can't quite believe I'm entering into this debate, but....
As she obviously isn't a football fan and the date of the Champions League Final has been on the calendar, for minimum 1 year - you've only got yourself to blame for not informing her in advance of the fact you would like to watch the match. Why are you waiting for her to tell her your joint plans? She's not a mind reader - plan ahead or deal with the consequences.

Let's be honest, CL would be a much less entertaining place without Paulie starting new threads every now and again. Besides, we would not see funny posts like the above one written by Chizz.
Every now and again?!
But agreed.
I will have you know this is my first thread for 2 weeks

Just out of curiosity... If your partner wanted you and her to go for a night out together when a game of Football is on.
Hands up how many would actually have the balls to tell them to feck off I'm watching t'Football
All relative - if I wanted to miss a mate's birthday or something for a random Friday night game she's have every right to be annoyed. If I wanted to watch a big final rather than a completely nothingy night out then yeah I'd put my foot down.
League 2 play off final- Missed League 1 play off final- Missed Championship play off final- Missed Europa League final- Watched FA Cup final- Watched 1st half Copa Del Ray final- Caught last 10 minutes
Bloody Women, surely I can get the Champions League final, must be some kind of law against stopping me watching it :-)
You and your nan go to the hairdresser far too much Paulie
Seriously, lay down the law. It starts with matches on the tele, next you'll be not allowed to go to away matches, then home matches are off the agenda then Charlton Life is banned. I say this not from personal experience but fr....got to go, bye!!!

No, you're right.

This doesn't count either!
Hope she is worth it.
(Sorry Paulie)
"It's Charlton and we're hardly ever on TV"
"But it's the biggest game of the season so far".
The 'so far' is very key here.
She's an absolute cracker I must say!

and that's final I am putting my foot down.
Don't worry about missing the match, you can watch the HIGHLIGHTS instead.
Best wishes.
I am with the best woman in the world so I am happy to miss Champions League Final, she is worth it
