    I've recently had to put mother into care so know how cruel it can be .It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do But I don't mind jokes about it ,it helps.I recently heard her chatting up one of the male residents, she said " do I come here often" .I think it's called black humour

    My mum is in care with parkinsons/dementia and before that my dad was in for a year with alzheimers.
    When you go in to visit take a sense of humour, a strong constitution for smells and agree with everything they say.

    and smile and laugh a lot.
