    Believe he was a long time sufferer from alzheimers/dementia .. Dr Zhivago, another major role for him .. David Lean loved his acting .. and he was a renowned contract bridge player before his health deteriorated .. R I P .. another well known face from my youth passes on

    To be fair apart from the obvious he was in some real stinkers.

    Great actor. Did his best work by a long way with Director, David Lean.

    Doctor Zhivago & Lawrence of Arabia are classic films.
