They were great, it was fantastic to see them again after all these years and they still rock, despite false starts to two songs (Jim was out of tune but blamed it on WIlliam!), they finished with Reverance which was fantastic and perhpas only bettered by Just Like Honey (despite its false starts!) which had a great guest vocalist (singer from Duke Spirit). I was slight less than overawed by seeing them in such a nice venue, but the great news is here:

s'funny how towards the end of the 90's they were playing the likes of the Camden Underworld in front of half-full houses - looks like the career break has done them the world of good

will also be interesting to see a new LP out as i don't think i've read a really positive review of a JAMC LP since Darklands came out - which is a shame as they have come up with some good uns in the intervening 20 years...........

Their fourth, Honey's Dead is still amazing, it's a match for Psychocandy.

Brilliant, thanks. Gigs at Brixton are great although I haven't been there since December when I saw the Pogues.

Tough call that one, but I'll just about give it to Psychocandy still.

    No way!

    Automatic's their best album!

Did any of you get 'Stoned and Dethroned' (or even Munki) ? I never did, there was a bit of a gap from Honey's Dead, then a B-sides collection before this and I guess I just didn't feel it would get close to the class of the other four albums.

Got both of them. There are some fine songs on the former but not up to the standard of 'Automatic' or 'Honey's Dead'
