Can anyone recommend a dog minder, or Kennel in North Kent, Bexley area

Our good friends have moved away, and so we have lost our excellent dog minder,
We have 2 westies, and hope to get away for a holiday later this year, and need to find someone that is responsible and kind to look after our two dogs.
Also someone that can have the pair of them for the odd day for some forthcoming events, like weddings.
We will check out the premises and people. ! No idea of day rates etc, we currently pay £20 per day, and supply all the food, etc.
One is a 5 year old male, and the other a 9month bitch ( house trained) but you need to keep an eye on her when out.Cute but a bit of a rascal with ducks and wildlife........
Appreciate any recommendations.

If she still does it, Sarah from Pet Pals in Welling. We used her when I worked in Greenwich. Runs a cattery but did our dog walking, transportation for us.

  • Yeah last time I went in there they had meat curry on the menu. Meat meaning it could of been anything, horse, dog, cat.

nothing to do with the fact its an Indian restaurant. If I had been in the harvester and they sold Meat burgers I would of said harvester... Stop trying to brew up some kind of race issue. you need to read what you write before you post it. Calling someone a racist is not a joke. The fact we all know the aligor don't take dogs in is a joke.

I would never joke about racism though

Glad to hear it, perhaps I was a bit 'put out' as my dogs were concerned.

Our friend boards her westie at.

    DENELAND KENNELS
    Turnagain Lodge
    off Hook Green Lane
    Wilmington
    Kent
    DA2 7AJ (01322 225191)

The owner Mrs Towers breeds and shows Cairn Terriers.

Do not forget you need to get them vaccinated for Kennel Cough if they go into kennels. (cost about £30 each).

  • Sorry I can't help Ken, I've been told there's a good one in Maidstone which maybe to far? My three go up to Northampton which is the only one I would recommend.

No probe mate, been a bit hampered socially speaking, as I mentioned one of my sons is getting married soon and good to have someone\some back up, will not be for a few months...... Hope the dogs are okay,
  • Lincoln Kennels. Been using them for years. The girls seem to love all the dogs.

  • My cousin has a Dog & cat boarding kennel in Cobham (opposite the Inn on the lake) called the nook............
  • Ken, Deneland used to do our boarding as well. Can also vouch for them.
  • We are very lucky in the fact that my stepdaughter's mum adores our dog so has him at any opportunity if she's free. So far (touch wood) we've never had to worry about this sort of thing. It can really rack up as a big expense when going on holiday I imagine.

  • When Mrs cafcfan saw the cute photo she asked if you might be fooled into thinking that Chelmsford was in North Kent....
  • Hannah, behind Welling high st
  • Thanks for all the recommendations, my wife and I will be checking a few out next week, that is unless Barnie and his Mrs could be persuaded to accommodate them....... ?......... yeah thought not!
  • Also if anyone is looking for a dog groomer my lovely friend Max has a parlour on Westmount Road. I cant remember if I mentioned this? It's opposite The Long Pond so you can drop the dog off and go for a pint whilst waiting.

I used all of them - some better than others, but Canada Farm is best in terms of exercising them outside of the runs (although a couple of years ago it had a bit Kennel cough).

Btw did we work out whether Redrooster is a racist?

Your not wrong B, we paid £500 and thats "mate rates" as Bailey was born there for our three for our last holiday and although that does include food, its not the grub ours eat so we have it delivered before we get there. Two kennels all air conditioned and all dogs are walked twice a day plus given a run as a pack in a three acre paddock and protected by CCTV around £700. (for Shep size) ;)

  • Gables near Lullingstone golf club.Really good.
