Maccabi Tel Aviv - looks like that's where our Tal went, while the winger with the same name whom we were interested in, also started.
Well its in Tel Aviv but Viktoria are cruising to a 2-0 first leg victory. Coverage only started after their goals (they covered Sparta's good 2-2 at CSKA Moscow first) so I only saw a brief recap at H-T and only realised our Tal was playing when i saw a close up of his massively pissed off face after the second. Both goals were defensive blunders but the second one at least didn't involve him. As for the other Tal he created Maccabi's only decent chance with a fierce 20 harder that skimmed the crossbar. But he was subbed on 60.
Ah Maccabi just pulled one back. Nicely worked goal exploiting Viktorka's relative weakness in central defence. They get decent corowds here, and of course now they've woken up after almost falling into sullen silence. Hold on boys..

Maccabi's defence was poor and TBH was awful. Israeli media is wondering what was the point of getting him. The other TBH wasn't better. All and all very happy day for most Israeli fans (or at least for me)0
