Alan Pardew - Next England Manager

  • If the next manager has to be English, there isn't exactly a long list of suitable candidates.

    Successful club management record
    European experience
    No dodgy personal issues

Maybe someone like Gary Neville, who has been involved with the England team, would be an option?

would love gary neville to be england manager. A punt but a calculated one.
I quite like Gary Neville. Certainly not a punt.
  • Not a punt to appoint someone to a national team who has never managed before? Or was that a typo?!

Things rarely end well for England managers, so at least if big nose did get the job, you could be quite certain he will face a nasty fall from grace sooner or later.
  • To those suggesting Neville or Southgate gan I remind you of the last occasion when we promoted someone from within the England set up! A certain Steve Mclaren. Well that ended well didn't it!

To be fair, all England managers have been "failures" since Sir Alf, as none have won anything. The only ones with any sorts of achievements are Sir Bobby, after 8 years and many disappointments and El Tel, who got the push due to his Del Boy tendencies!
Sure but with that team he had available he failed to qualify for a major tournament! None have failed quite that much!
  • All England managers are looked at as failures because the media hypes our players up so much that we believe we have a fantastic squad of players when really the majority of them are mediocre. Sven did a brilliant job however.
  • Skeletons + Closet = 0% chance.

Dunno... Jurgen Klinsmann's first Management role was with Germany

This. From what I have heard over the years pards cant keep it in his pants. Will be a tabloid scandal or two if he was ever manager I'm sure
  • I couldn't support an England team with that pillock in charge. No way never.
  • Pardew, is a c##t

  • Gotta admit, I enjoyed his quote today.
“Spurs have some outstanding players. I’m a big fan of Kane, Chadli and Eriksen. They will definitely finish in the top ten.”

Which we are pretty much guaranteed to do with Pardew in charge.
  • I could bloody guide England to the finals. It's not hard.

    I's been too long.
  • Pards will never get it, the press would have a field day in the same way they had on Sven and his affairs etc. Hodgson's been great for the FA as as a person he's pretty damn normal and a genuinely good man.

  • Sitting here in Cafe Nero, West Wickham with the next England Manager.

Did you have a good party from the money you stole from Charlton when you got sacked?

Might start with an easier one.

Why are you such a prick and why did you feel the need to sign Rob Elliot from us knowing he was going to be part of a League One winning side... Something you weren't able to do yourself?
  • We were still in The Championship when Pardew was sacked so he didn't have the opportunity of getting us out of League 1.

But he had a great Southampton squad and despite recovering from the points deducted was promptly sacked the next season
