Valley pitch defiled
NOT some poncy, hipster Hoxton, post modern ironic, eurotrash style circle.
Sort it out Roland

Well done Corbyn for getting rid of the old and in with the new.10 -

History and tradition are ripped from the heart of club and fans don't even notice.
Say no to penalty circles.2 -
When I opened this thread I was expecting to hear about another one of Roland's risqué marketing campaigns, bit disappointed tbh.0
-
I'd favour a laser spotlight, only turned on when a penalty is awarded. More efficient that way
(In all seriousness, the penalty spot is essential for any goalkeeper to know where s/he is)0 -
It would be nice if we could get a few pens, although if the refs are anything like that fella yesterday, we've got no chance!0
-
The players decided that they will deliberately miss all pens at home until this sacrilege has been removed.
Well done JBG et al1 -
I take the one in the centre circle is the same, might explain why we couldn't take a kick off correctly.Henry Irving said:The players decided that they will deliberately miss all pens at home until this sacrilege has been removed.

The campaign has begun.boycottErr , re consideration time yer?
I think we should be told.
A public meeting at the very least.
Henry, can you draw up the list of demands?0 -

Think it's more of a case of reducing costs, to mark the penalty spot out was a two man job. They're just cut the middle man out.1

A circle uses less paint (though not necessarily). Need to sweat those assets.2

Also, how come our corner flags are not triangular anymore? Did they forget we won the FA Cup?Henry Irving said:

Public meetings a waste of time as proved by the last one.
Only direct action works.
Need volunteers to break in to the ground and paint the spot back.0 -

Maybe the Penalty Spot was added... Just some young lady / gentleman decided to 'score' on the pitch again whilst the paint was dry.
We'll have to keep an eye out down the Valley on Tuesday, if someone has a round circle on the back of their coat then we know what happened1 -
Roland's pitch he can do what he likes within reason0
