HENNING MANKELL, of 'Wallander' Fame .. RIP

Sad news taken from a BBC newsflash, Mankell has died from cancer aged just 67.
A very clever man, a terrific atmospheric and character driven, quite political author, the one who probably first brought 'Scandi Lit' to the attention of the English speaking countries.
He will be missed

Wallander was the 1st of the dark Nordic Noir to really grab my attention.

This sub titled Genre of deep characters and murder begat,
The Killing, The Bridge, a Tapestry of torment which unraveled before your eyes.
Not for the short attention span of modern life but for the war and Peace
    aficionados.
This is the antitheist of Midsomer murders which is more of a black comedy in comparison.

Thank you Henning Mankell for the Murder mystery and misery.

    RIP.

Brilliant writer. I have read a handful of his novels and look forward to completing the task. And I have enjoyed watching both the English and the Swedish sub-titled tv series too. RIP.
