  • When KM, (RD), says we have to wait and let the team grow, he means, I have bought some young players, put them on long contracts, wait a couple of seasons, at most, to prove themselves and sell them for a profit
  • I think the club are financially secure.

In the sense that its primary creditor is not hostile. Yet.

Well of course you are right but it's no more significant than saying the same about absolutely any owner in football.

No ones is asking them to spend shit loads of money, but at least buy a squad big enough to cope with 3-4 bloody injuries. If we did have some half decent cover for the players that got injured then we wouldn't go on a piss poor losing streak every time a couple of players got injured, and maybe just maybe with a bigger squad we may be able to hang around the top half come January.

    Nail on head Nicholas.

Easier said than done if you can't get the players you want.
  • I really don't get the mass hysteria, I don't think things are that bad.

No, an owner can make equity investments into a club, rather than loans with terms and conditions only they themselves know.

There is a big difference between concern and hysteria.

You can disagree without labelling anyone who disagrees with you.
  • A long term plan is fine in my book so long as it means keeping hold of our emerging youngsters to add to the likes of Bauer, Solly, JBG, Cousins etc.

What's the point in developing the academy and just selling off the cream that emerges.(apart from the obvious instant profit).

The fans just want to see some ambition from the board!

Not sure we are seeing much ambition.
  • Which ever way you cut it ... their plan (youth, long term, minimise loss) is not in synch with what the average supporter wants, which is a squad that has the ability to withstand 3 or 4 injuries and not bring in 17 year olds to cover the gaps.

We have again flattered to decieve, with just 3 or 4 more or even 1 or 2 more in the close season we could have potentially weathered the injury situation and not dropped like a stone of a cliff.

That is what is frustrating the fans and all the gimmacy nonsense as well ...

It does feel like some very dull Belgium expreiment, but saying that 4 wins on the spin and we would all be praising it ... all any football fan wants is results...
