Addicks v's Reading match thread 17/10/15

Afternoon all, well the international break is over yet it seems our injury list is just as bad as it was before. Can our small squad get over the injuries and try to get at least a point? I'm not hopeful but stranger things have happened. I'll bring you the teams as soon as I get them......COYR's

  • If we lose this, there is big pressure to beat Preston on Tuesday night
  • C'mon Charlton.

Going to the pictures so expect to come out of the Odeon to learn the boys have proved the doubters wrong and are bringing home the three points.

I will make sure i am heading back down the A2 at some point in the 1st half. That usually means we score a goal at least.

    Cmon you Addicks!!
  • Good afternoon Red.
Good afternoon all, and of course greetings to all the far flung Addicks, and respect to the travelling faithful at Reading.
As is customary I shall follow the Reading feed and update from there, reporting on the other perspective. Hopefully what I report will synergise with Red, but anyway apologies in advance for all the slowness and typos.
It may be that there will be less lagging problems this week, we shall see.

That's a surprise. Wonder if guy and TWatt have fallen out again or if he's saving him for Tuesday

Why can't you drive down the A2 every Saturday during the 1st half ........ ?

  • No Kashi, Watt on the bench, interesting
  • Hendo on the bench. Good to see.
  • Don't get Hendo on the bench. A keeper surely doesn't need to build up match fitness in the same way as an outfield player. Either he is fit to keep or he isn't. Either way - get him in.

How long can Jacko last? Will we regret not starting Watt? Where is Kashi?

    Questions galore.

We've got a new manager, don't you know?

    Jacko has picked himself.

  • Down to the bare bones.

  • Watt was instagramming about game day earlier on, has he picked up a knock or is he out of favour?
  • Perhaps GL does not want to replace Pope straight away in case it destroys his confidence. One game, life time experience

  • Reading: Al-Habsi, Gunter, Obita, McShane (c), Hector, Norwood, Tshibola, Piazon, Blackman, John, Sa.
  • Reading subs: Moore, Taylor, McCleary, Fernandez, Williams, Cooper, Liburd.
  • Great to have JJ in there. Now a bit more control and steel in the midfield.
    COYRs!
  • Big game for Pope, Bergdich, JJ and the whole forward line...
  • Interesting line-up, lets see what Bergdich can do at left back. Good to see Moussa starting but we look lightweight up front..... it'll be interesting to see if we sign Ameobi during next week.
  • Subs Henderson, Fox, Sarr, Holmes-Dennis, Ba, Kennedy, Watt

    I bet Mitov is disappointed.

1st match of the season he's not been on the bench.

  • I would think It will probably be Mitov's last bench, providing no more injuries
  • So who is up front? Is it Moussa or McAleny?
  • So who is up front? Is it Moussa or McAleny?

I guess it'll be Kag, in a 4-5-1 formation, switching to 4-3-3 when attacking or 4-4-1-1
