I've heard the club are paying people to turn up on Saturday.0

I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to Saturday in the knowledge that my street cred for following the mighty reds for some 50 years or so will, by virtue of my anonymity, continue to remain in tact.
Providing, of course, no one in the crowd actually spots me - sitting on the sofa.

If you're actually sitting in the sofa could you sit with your back to the pitch for the whole game? That'd make for some good pictures for any media still bothering to cover us2

I would suggest duvet, pillows, jimmyjams and a nightcap, oh and one of those candles on a plate affair.0

Hopefully first game of the season for me (work study 97% completed). Really looking forward to it.1

or alternatively a skeleton with a Charlton scarf and Bobble hat and a sign saying "Im sure theres going to be a win soon!"2

If your on the sofa, take an iPad, connect to the wifi, tissues or an old sock and knock one out, got to get more interest from the press than the game?1

On live TV over here in Canada, think the only way to get through this is to get absolutely plastered before the game.
The wife normally has a lie in on Saturday mornings so will have to be careful opening that first tin at around 7am...0 -
Make it the last tin from a long night then. You will sleep better during the game.Oakster said:On live TV over here in Canada, think the only way to get through this is to get absolutely plastered before the game.

Have we any more left backs we can shoe-horn in to the team for Saturday?1
-
Can we stop with the talk of having three Left-Backs in the squad now... What is the basis of this, that people have gone on Football Manager or FIFA and have seen that Fox / THD / Bergdich are all set with LB against their name.mid_life_crisis said:Have we any more left backs we can shoe-horn in to the team for Saturday?
Fox ... Yes he's our Left-Back so thats one...
Holmes-Dennis ... Never played in the League for us, so how we can state he's a Left-Back is a joke, especially he was always deployed on the Left of Midfield for Plymouth and Oxford, yes he played in that position for our youth teams but Cousins was a Defender back then too
Bergdich ... Yes playing him on the Right was stupid (but based on Luzon's comments that we had no width, I guess before the match he was the only other wide player available to start), yet going back to the positional sense, the majority of games he's played for us have been on the Left of Midfield, yes we could say he was signed as a backup to Fox but has Luzon ever said thats why he was signed... For me he was signed as the backup Left Mid when we failed to get Bulot.
So that means only ONE Left-Back was on the pitch last night!!5 -
That's a cracking post. Made me laugh.
