Anybody who says move on can fuck off. He gave us some great times. Ok he was going through a ropey patch in his last days; but who doesn't? He could have done it. But in the 21st century not many gaffers are allowed to. Enjoy...

Chris gave us a feel good factor and his players always tried for him . Yes, he was tactically naive, although I suggest Luzon had few ideas too, on recent displays . Lately, we have looked like the side that Pardew handed on to Parkinson

CP was also sacked after a sequence of 9 away games in 12 - thanks to a dodgy pitch & that good FA Cup run...RD lost me after that decision.
  • Love the fella and i'd always want him to come back. The promotion season has been the highlight for me in all my years following Charlton.

    Man love never dies!

That was even not entirely his fault. The club was going through a take-over process for a couple of months and the new owner apparently didn't like him or the right way in which a manager should work so I don't think anyone would have survived that last period.
    Never blamed him for it.

    Yohann Thuram
    The Kermorgant debacle
    Signing Piotr for actual money
    Powell Sacking

I'm all for making big calls and dramatic change, but when your first moves are all so monumentally boneheaded, it was clear that we were shafted long term. Sorry to be negative, but that's how it felt at the time and how it still feels

In the top video Michael Slater has bit of hooter on him.

Just a shame that SCP was more like an interim head coach rather than a manager for the last two months of his tenure when RD came in. Well that is how he was treated anyway. Until RD came in SCP was virtually running the club.
  • Terribly faded North Stand seats in that first video, if only we had new owners who concentrated on replacing them

    Absolute class!

    What a gentleman.

Makes me realise utter tosh the club has become.

    Feel very sad indeed.
