Rumours of Haas signing up with BWT which would mean a move to pink cars.MarcusH26 said:I wouldn't expect anything too crazy on the livery front from anyone. Unless Williams find a title sponsor .
Interested to see if the Aston Martin car includes the lime green they've been using on their other works racing cars, could add a nice pop of colour with the British Racing Green. Alpine in French racing blue, Alfa and Ferrari in Italian red, Mercedes back in Germanic silver, the grid could have quite an old school feel to it2 -
Still a black Mercedes this year & there is definitely action at Silverstone today2

Yeah I saw the Haas rumours , kind of expected they'd have Uralkali as a title sponsor as part of taking Mazepin.sam3110 said:

Would expect that lime green to feature somewhere on the AMR livery.0 -
Which is the top livery from?DamoNorthStand said:
Love some of the photoshops around of modern cars with some of the classic livery colours of old.
Would love to see that Mclaren livery back!! - Williams, I'd rather the FW15 colours0 -

The top one is a Toleman from 1984 - these are all Ayrton Senna's cars, Toleman, Lotus x 2, McLaren and of course his final team, Williams...

Had the McLaren and Williams cars in some of my scalextric sets so they bring back fond memories0

Might just be that there is less traffic/noise around but it’s incredibly loud at Silverstone today , I could here them from 8am1

I bet it doesn't sound as good as this thoughSpitfire76 said:Might just be that there is less traffic/noise around but it’s incredibly loud at Silverstone today , I could here them from 8am

I was at Brands Hatch a couple of years ago and stood on the pit wall while a McLaren M23 was doing demo laps. The noise of the Cosworth as it screamed past was glorious.Spitfire76 said:

You don’t even need earplugs for the modern F1 cars. The old ones were painful if you weren’t wearing them.3 -

The smell of burning 130 octane fuel and engine oil was intoxicating as well.3 -
The best sounding race car I’ve heard though is the Panoz LMP Spider that raced at Le Mans in the late 90’s early 00’s. Big thumping V8 in a tank of a car

You need to get to some historic racing when crowds are allowed. The sights, sounds and smells we all miss!Addickted said:DaveMehmet said:

My car’s booked in for the display area at Brands for the Masters Historic on 30th May. Hoping it goes ahead, they opened up as soon as lockdown lifted last year and organised things well. It’s such a large area that you don’t really need to get near anyone all day.Stuart_the_Red said:

In my younger days, I was at a qualifying when the engine in Senna's Lotus blew near me and I ran forwards to breath in the fumes!Stuart_the_Red said:

Wouldnt mind that... Aston Martin is definitely the car I'm looking forward to the mostAddickted said:
Maybe Williams the other having been taken over - The others seem to be playing it safe this year0 -
No idea what to expect from Williams livery wise now. All their team gear is just plain navy.1

In terms of 2021 cars livery - we have a winner imo.
British Racing Green looks great on the Aston.6 -
Really pleased with the pink placement from BWT too... Although would have maybe preferred a lighter version - I saw this knock up earlier and think its slightly better
The livery is by far the best on the grid for next year so far though!!

I have a feeling Vettel may get a new wind there. Whilst he was shown up a bit by Hamilton in 2018-19 when their cars were pretty equal, he has lost a bit of his mojo at Ferrari and is better than he showed last year I think.5

So Haas have launched, apparently due to the Anti-Doping issues there can be no Russian flag in any sport at the moment... Seems that the FIA are fine that this doesnt break those rules.
As a livery I dont mind it, with those regulations in mind, FIA are taking the piss approving it

Find it hilarious that the "American" team on the grid are running a full blown Russian livery. No doubt they'll claim the red white and blue is patriotic to the US too, but I expect this team to be called Mazepin GP or something similar in the next couple of years.
We also now have 2 billionaire sons that will be racing in F1 as long as they want to in Mazepin and Stroll.4 -
Wouldn't be surprised to see Dmitri Mazepin complete a takeover by the end of the season , as much as Gene Haas has claimed that the budget caps will make him stay.sam3110 said:Find it hilarious that the "American" team on the grid are running a full blown Russian livery.
