  • Massimo Cellino confirms deal agreed in principle with Leeds Fans Utd for sale of majority stake in club.

    Well done Leeds.

    Seconded
  • No way will their supporters group be able to fund the losses Leeds have racked up! They'll only buy shares to sell them so someone less nuts!
  • Sounds like a way to get around the fit and proper test. Or whatever it's called.

They'll raise it. They've already raised a hefty amount plus Massimo negotiated a lot of the GFH debt when he came in.
  • Does it really mean anything theses days?

They won't be able to find the funds to cover the costs season upon season! Then there's transfers and agents fees to think about..
  • Not only Leeds, look at Blackpool!

From what I have read it's not just fans putting in their £50. There are some pretty rich individuals ready to lump in. That's what happened at Swansea. It's sometimes better to be the only club in a proud provincial city. Also the case with Standard. RD didn't need to look beyond his own boardroom to find a buyer.

I've never met a person from Leeds who would pass a fit and proper test
This. I worked there for 2 years !
