He has joined on a non contract basis according to Ketts.
"Lloyd Doyley, who has been training with the club for the last few weeks, has signed on a non-contract basis, and was included in the extended squad for the Wednesday game. Ironocally, had he made the final 18, Doyley would probably have come on to replace the injured Chris Solly.
Doyley may be involved against his former club Watford, in Tuesday's Premier League Under-21 cup tie at St Albans.
Do not be surprised if there is another arrival or two before the Ipswich game either."

Experienced player who knows this league.
OK, not "exciting" but can play anywhere across the back and we are short of defensive cover.
Wonder who the other two might be.

Do we have a scout then? Did I miss this news?
The reality is that most loan players have some sort of "baggage" as we know only too well.
This bloke has been a one club man which suggests he fits well into a squad. If he has properly recovered from that neck injury (his "baggage") he could prove to be a useful man to have around the squad even if he probably wouldn't make a theoretical strongest X1.
The proof of the pudding and all that but on paper successive managers have signed far worse loan signings than this one.
As long as he has had his new arsehole repaired that Callum Messi tore him, then he should be good to go.
