I know this has been covered elsewhere EDIT on finding the programme article it say £8.6m up to August 2015 so the £9m figure would be consistant with signing since then

Can anyone guesstimate how the £9m was spent (without using transfermarket.com)

Joyes said that the £8.6m included agent fees and transfer fee levies.

£2m on Sarr
£2.5m on Igor
£? on Reza
£? on Bauer
£? on Le Pont
£700k on Polish Pete
£1m on Watt
Loan fees for Bulot, Buyens, Astrid, Dmitrovic, Big Mak, etc

How much of the £9 was spent on other network players

And how much have we recouped in the same period (since the takeover)?

£3.5m+ on Gomez
£400k on Poyet
£400k on Yann
£600k on Stephens
£? for Le Pont
Inward loan fees for Reza
Income from previous sales such as Elliot, Shelvey?

I'm guessing a lot of figures or taking them from what was said at the time in the press so not reliable.

Anyone got a proper list or more info?

I wouldn't even have paid a question mark for Lepoint.
  • Who did we pay the £1m for Watt to?

Maybe there is a scale of appearance fees for Mak etc ?

Who did we pay the £1m for Watt to?

    Roly paid himself.
  • Think we paid a little more for Polish Pete in total, Big Mak was a loan fee if I remember correctly so that will be (rightfully or wrongfully) added to the total.

The undisclosed fee nonsense is there to cover up the fact they don't know what they're doing, selling Morrison for nothing just a couple of months after he penned a 2 year contract says it all, as does any fee for PP and the fee for Sarr of which fans in Portugal are still probably laughing themselves silly. Other clubs do the same but not all for the reason of saving embarrassment.

I know this has been covered elsewhere but I remember that the figure given by David Joyes in the programme a few weeks ago was £8.1m

How did it rise from £8.1m to £9m

Can anyone guesstimate how the £8..m/£9m was spent (without using transfermarket.com)

Joyes said that the £8.1m included loan fees

    £2m on Sarr
    £2.5m on Igor
    £? on Reza
    £? on Bauer

I used Polish Pete as a makeweight in a deal on FIFA. He now plays up front every week for Chelsea, which is the single silliest thing I've ever seen on a video game.

Henry, do you have a copy of David Joyes's article, or a scan? I've not seen it yet and can't locate a copy.
  • The really crazy thing is that if the transfer policy had been in any way "normal". A squad investment of £9 million would under normal circumstances in The Championship be one that gives a decent manager a very good shot at the top six. Remind me where we are ?

I thought SL were looking at taking legal action against RD over the transfer of TW as we got a player for nothing who they paid £1.2m six months previously - and on a five year contract.

Did they say we got him for nothing as KM said at the VIP meeting that watt "didn't cost peanuts".

I'm guessing the inward loan fee for Tucudean can be ignored on de minimis grounds?

Bergdich, Ba, Kashi? Don't think they came on free transfers.

We might get more money for Gomez but it will just go towards our losses.
  • Wiggins sold for £750, 000.

That's a good fee if we got that, he's hardly figured for Wednesday since he went there

    .

    You're a star Henry.

  • Perhaps the difference is because players have made appearances triggering further payments.
