"Here’s wishing you a Merry Christmas and also a successful new year to Charlton Athletic. Traditionally New Year is a time when people take stock and make resolutions for things that they want to do better or differently. I can think of no better way to start the new year than to review the running of our football club with a view to halting its decline. Major changes need to be made to the way the club is managed, if they aren’t I seriously worry that the future will be very bleak indeed".
Lot of anger and lots of frustration, despondency and any other negative emotion you can think of on here last night and today.
But anger is an energy as some punk once said.
Use it, turn it on the people who are hurting you.
Tell them what you think
Did this in an email the other month replying to some marketing email offer.
Also asked them to stop sending me marketing stuff for the foreseeable too for those reasons. Got a letter last week excitingly offering me a half season ticket.
Deaf ears. They are either just not interested in the slightest what us "2%" are pissed off about or too thick to think a reproduced letter offering a half season tickets is going to get boycotting supporters like myself flooding back.
I explained in mine that while they may not be concerned that my Dad & a family friend both who have been going since the late 60s/early 70s are disillusioned with the feel of their club and that they might not even be concerned that I a fan of 20 years has got to the point were I have no desire to get to games at the Valley anymore(away games only for me currently) what they should be concerned about is that they are likely losing the next generation of Charlton fans, many of which would be introduced to the Charlton family by the older generations.
I can only speak for my own family but for the last year my brother(a very casual Charlton fan from the past) has been discussing starting to bring his three kids to the Valley, he has decided against this for now due to the goings on at the club.
I then finished by explaining that myself and my family could very easily be won over, not by the club going on a spending spree but by appointing a serious Manager, who has some job security and full or majority control on who the transfer budget is spent on, so that they can try to build a team with the ultimate goal of long term on the pitch success for Charlton.
This is so true and shames the owner and KM. It SHAMES them!

To warn, replying to those marketing emails won't go back to a specific persons email address. You can set up forwarding on those mass emails, but more often than not they will just go into an inbox within whichever programme Charlton use to send the emails.
The vast majority of replies will just get deleted, especially when you consider the amount of out of office bouncebacks etc they create when sending to say 30,000 people.
Sent mine off to Meire today, told her in no uncertain terms that I held her responsible for the shockingly poor recruitment and retention of players and coaching staff. That'll show her, watch her change her ways now.

Meire and Fraeye have messed it up I reckon an intervention from the Third Man could just help....

Very good Len but it will be wasted on the youngsters

This is a great comment, especially on how new supporters get to the Valley. Existing supporters bring new ones in.
