Jose Riga wants to help rescue Charlton but says he has not been contacted by the club.
There have been rumours that the Addicks hierarchy might turn to their former boss who saved them from the drop two years ago.
When contacted by News Shopper, Riga told us there has been no contact from Katrien Meire or Roland Duchatelet.
He said: “I’ve been hearing some rumours and read the stories but I have not had any contact from anyone at the club. I have some love from this club and it’s just the same at this moment. But without any contact, I can’t do anything. “I’m interested in Charlton but we must sit down and know what we want to do there – so I can’t say ‘yes I’m back.’"
