Better fire up the divisive players thread. I know he has a bit of a comedy reputation, but he's not without ability and would give us an option to play as a lone striker if wanted to go one up front for certain games. Igor is bit on the small side and Big Mak maybe not mobile enough.
Please no. Not without ability? damning with faint praise - He's bloody awful!
I would have Sanogo at this level, good competition for Makienok.
Loan yes. Permanent signing as the NS says, then no. If he is crap, we can send him back to Arsenal, but I don't want to be stuck with another sub-par player that 'there isn't a market for'.
There was a time a couple of years ago when Wenger thought this boy was the next Thierry Henry. Mate of mine who was working at Arsenal told me this boy is going to be something else. Just shows you.

He is something else, it's just that no one has figured out what yet...

France U21 international, FA Cup Winner, Champions League experience and actually a good goalscoring record prior to joining Arsenal.
if he's trialed with us then, stating the obvious, Riga must have seen something he liked in the player. I can't imagine he'd be that cheap. Only 23 and had a pretty decent stats for Auxerre. Could do a job in Championship.
Scored in the cup for Palace last season, so not quite as bad as that. Arguably worse I suppose as the goal came for Palace.
I'm not saying he'd be signing of the season or anything, but he's played in the French and English top flights and would offer something a bit different to our other forwards. I don't think he should be so instantly dismissed as a bad idea. Let's face it, we're not in a position to attract a guaranteed Championship goalscorer at this time of the year so anyone we get would be something of a gamble.
I saw him play live for Arsenal in the Emirates cup and I think he gets a bad press. He could do well given a run of games. Not sure he's what we need as I'd rather see a couple of midfielders come in as we are desperately short of creativity when Gudmundsson doesn't turn up.
Hold on, surely there's no way Sanogo managed to shamble his way through a trial at the club without a) anyone getting wind of it or b) it being a total, hilarious failure. I feel like I'm having a fever dream
Im usually the most negative about these signings but he looks awful playing alongside Ozil and Sanchez im sure he has Champ level ability. Ameobi has scored at this level

Meire and Murray just closed the blinds down so he traipsed off.

That's debatable!
