We have two Broadband lines into the property one is down the other isn't. BT can't even manage to be broken properly.

Mine's down in Glasgow, but just worked out how to tether to the phone's 4G. Feeling very technologically proud ;-) Until that gets overloaded, no doubt...

How on earth something can knock out the majority of the country and not be malicious is beyond me.

From an infrastructure point of view that suggests zero redundancy and poor contingency plans.

It's also a timely reminder to how utterly stupid this trend of connecting everything to the internet is.
