Neil Warnock is one of three candidates under consideration to become Rotherham manager, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.

Imagine if Guy Luzon got it and kept them up
Even the most fevered, LSD ravaged early 70s survivor would struggle to imagine any of that ;-)
  • I really rate Stuart Gray and would have him at Charlton. Sheffield Wednesday players speak very highly of him.
  • di canio is after the job as well
  • Warnock appointed manager
  • Oh no! I just put a tenner on Karel Fraeye as next manager.

But this is also a team who had the most English (and formerly most criminal) of managers, Steve Evans (just threw up in my mouth a little) and started the season poor, replaced him with another English manager, still poor, and now got THE Championship specialist (and by the way, I'm not convinced Warnock's way work at just any club, I think his "go on lads" attitude and no tactics only work at certain clubs and he chooses wisely) and they are improving. Warnock is the shortest of short term appointments, and I'm not convinced his way of doing things would have worked with our players.

I am not sure anything would have worked with our set of players.

Evans is a Scot .. and I am sure that Warnock is only at Rotherham because a) he was born next door in Sheffield, b) he played for the club way back when, 3) (a guess) he is on a good earner if he keeps the club in the Championship, and my bet is that he will .. and d) he does not want a long term job, the quick in and out fireman's role suits him best nowadays ...
I agree that his style of management is suited best to English/British players .. as for the CAFC squad, I doubt if many of the foreigners have heard of Warnock and those who have and possess even a decent command of the English language, would not be able to understand him .. this is why we have the Gardes, the Wengers, the Rigas in English football .. as managers they are good linguists and translators for the foreign legions
