I'm expecting a fully scripted interview, discussions about house music, different food, cheap ticket prices, THAT sofa, new training ground investment, nice new pitch and shinny seats. There will be very little, if anything, on plans to stay in Championship, ALL the mistakes made, the lies, the incompetence of the board in total, the instability of the club, dwindling attendances, poor transfer dealings, the incompetence of the board, only 2 % disagree with him, the incompetence of the board and of course the incompetence of the board, etc etc. In other words it will be party political broadcast by The Roland party!! All fluffy bullshit!!
Just wants to apologise for any inconvenience, and explain where the away supporters will be sitting, while the south stand is demolished and the new flats are built in its place.
'I have decided that we will now show our home games behind closed doors.
I have been advised by a close colleague that this is the most likely way of getting fans back on-side and therefore increasing support for this great club.'
It's very good that the regime are feeling the heat. The CARD protests have had some excellent coverage and the capitulation by Liverpool's owners this week has put supporter alienation at the very top of media agenda. See, for example, Owen Gibson's latest article - http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2016/feb/10/power-people-liverpool-fans-ticket-price-victory I doubt that Roland would like the last sentence in the Bill Shankley quote:
“At a football club there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.”
As for the interview, I'm expecting some well-meaning, but misguided, comments from Roland, together with some hollow platitudes. I expect that he'll also take the opportunity to indirectly address potential purchasers of the club by reiterating that CAFC is not for sale in an attempt to buttress his negotiating position down the line.
Roland is certainly in a position to play the long game but I expect that, as the pressure continues to increase, he will ultimately see sense. He can then rationalise his decision on the basis that English football was not ready or able to accommodate a man of his vision.
Once his new apartment is completed in the Jimmy South stand, he hopes to get to all Saturday home games and alternate midweek games dependant on the prize money at Gala bingo in Woolwich. His local abode will make him more hands on although all major f**** up's decisions will be made by his more than incapable CEO, nothing to see here move on.
Too little too late. They will never win back a large proportion of their customers. Their nonsense has tipped people over the proverbial edge.
Everything they do is reactive. No foresight, no tangible strategy and most importantly no empathy with the fanbase.
These interviews/communications should be regular and they should have been happening from day one.
Interesting that we have still heard nothing from our esteemed CEO. Has the new head of Comms worked her out for the walking PR disaster that she is?
Ultimately I will take everything he says with a large pinch of salt and suspect anything he says will be dismissed out of hand as lies and subterfuge.
I think he'll reiterate that the club isn't for sale, will say empty words about getting it wrong and bringing players in to remedy it etc. Everything we've heard before.
The only hope is Cawley asking more challenging questions than RD has previously been faced with. The OS one will be a rehash of Murray's Q&A.
I want to hear his reasoning as to why Fraeye got the job, I want to hear his reasoning why it was kept "interim". I want to hear his reaction to the protests. I want to hear his response to Powell's comments. After two years I still want to know why he sold Yann. I want to know why he thinks all his clubs fans protest against him. I could go on.
Ultimately though it doesn't matter what he says. Until he shows that he's willing to DEMONSTRATE admission of mistakes and learning from them then it's just words.
With his track record across all his clubs and his various, somewhat strange, interviews, I can only see him being too stubborn, unempathetic and arrogant to change his ways and continue trying to fob us off with hollow words and empty gestures.
Welcome Roland to the valley so glad that you have managed to find us I thought you had started to get some form of elderly memory wasting illness that stopped you from coming back
I will try to be fair and respect the fact that someone somewhere be that you Roland or Katrien, or the new coms person has finally realised that saying nothing, and being incognito is not going to solve the issue,
That to allow km to continue to act like a spoilt brat and put her smiling face as a show of defiance when really it's her being feisty and saying fuck you all I am not going to change my mind or even talk to my boss about your feelings and concerns is in the long term detrimental and now you the boss has to come and placate those in the building who resent the approach and the customers who no longer will put up with the shit service from her,
But Mr twoshitchalets what can you honestly say that anyone will listen too I fail to see why you bothered
Tbh I don't care what you say, you can't say sorry I fkd up I have left Jose x millions and told him to go buy who he wants to get us out of this mess, the windows gone so it can't happen
Km.has told us every Mgr change was proven right so he can't change Jose and bring in a full new UK mgmt structure on the playing side
You can't say anything that fixes the immediate playing side issue
I know people will say, " that's not the only concern "
but it's the one everyone agrees relegation is not acceptable and needs not to happen
So the question is why, why are you here, why now, why not 12 weeks ago,
Why not when fraye was appointed, why not when Luzon was fired
I don't think anything you say will be worth listening too even if you sacked Meire so what you'll only put in place someone exactly the same
Tell you what Roland just fuck off save your breath take Meire Murray and anyone else who buys your bullshit and fuck off,
Fuck off for good take every penny you can find still in the account and fuck off I'd rather we had no money with out you than 500 million with you
Your a no good greedy cnut and your a cancer on this great club that needs you to be cut out and cooked with lazers
Many thanks for the interview I appreciate your time,
This will be as open and honest as Richard Murray's last embarrassing effort. Duchatalet only ever visits when there's nobody else there. Speaks volumes.
I can see my seat in the background, going to miss that next season
That's going to be a no-nonsense Jeremy Paxman probing interview isn't. "So, Sir, how lucky on a scale of one to ten are Charlton to have you as their munificent owner?"
This just reminds me of that Simpsons episode when the whole town joins a cult with 'the leader'. Not because we're all followers of Roland's cult and collecting lima beans that look like him. Quite simply because at the end of that episode 'the leader' is revealed and is no longer a voice.
The leader tries to fly away in some make shift aircraft. Basically what I'm saying is this interview will be like aircraft and the voice (Roland's words) will just be a massive let down of not much in particular. It will reveal what we all know already. He's a confused old man who has bought a football club.
Bewildered, he'll get back on that south eastern train he came in on, and we'll never see him again, or collect lima beans that look like him
Don't care what he has to say it has gone past the need for communication, Roland has shown to many times it's his way or nothing regardless of what he says.
His way though is appointing Bob, guy and Karel and if he could the Serbian, so Roland stick your interview up your Harris and sell up
I think if nothing else this interview will tell us just how deluded or not RD actually is. He's here because he is worried. Everything that can go wrong both on and off the pitch is going wrong. His investment and plan are not running smoothly. What he says to us tomorrow will tell us all we need to know about him and his ambition for Charlton Athletic. Under the current circumstances he should be releasing more funds now to stave off the catastrophe of relegation. So far his transfer activity this January and February have been cost neutral. How he sells that to us will be interesting.

Signings tomorrow anyone ?
Good point, if Roland is speaking his worried. Let's carry on the protesting its working
This will some kind of pre-emptive strike. They know they are in for a hard time on Saturday with more post match protests, and that could get very messy if Cardiff get the three points (given recent performances, this is surely odds on.) For those who have doubted the wisdom of protesting, it is clear that as a result of the protests, RD has somehow found the time in his busy schedule to get down to the ground. However, having said all that, I can't for the life of me imagine what he can possibly say that will avert what's coming.
New manager? Would 4 managers in a season be some kind of record? New CEO? I can't see him ditching KM, but you never know. New players? We don't seem to be able to recognise what a good player actually looks like, and we have missed the window now anyway.
We have heard from Meire too often given the tripe she's spouted and she's now suffering from camera-shock. Murray thought he still had enough currency to justify the indefensible and has, consequently destroyed his own credibility. If Duchatelet screws this up, there's only the graduate left and this week's Companies House hilarity suggests she will do well to survive as long as any of the correct decision managerial appointments who all improved our league position and results!

Which just happens to be the only thing they've got right.
Funny that!

Seems there will also be an interview on the OS
It might be an interview in 3D. or 2D. or something.
