The scary thing is that Roland has, by his own admission, overspent. So we are not currently adhering to his plan. The plan which is to be self sufficient, and in his own words, "show we have better coaches". Well he must surely be realising that we don't have better coaches. That the people he hired to evaluate and run the team have failed miserably. That Katrien has failed miserably. That he has failed miserably.
There is no other conclusion for him to make. His plan can't succeed. He has added unplanned millions and still seen it fail. And that is a result of the people he has entrusted with the club, who have proven themselves to be incompetent. Maybe Katrien was right in a way. He doesn't do failure. He does total, abject, humiliation.
How that woman can look in the mirror God only knows. ..she has destroyed the club and community
DC mate she has broke every mirror she has looked in now she is breaking my son and your sons heart , she them other 2 pricks and the players are a complete joke .
Another depressing & sad day in the annals of CAFC 2015-16. How many more of these can we take ?
Yet it started out so well.
A fine lunch with good footballing friends & very large glasses of the white liquid...but sadly, @GlassHalfFull & @Hants Addick were too poorly to make the final leg of the trip to Craven Cottage. They were the "lucky" ones.
From the lofty heights of row ZZ, we were witness to a decent performance from our lads in the first 45 minutes - apart from the Cottagers goal from one of their only attacks thus far. But optimism was not diminished as the players exited stage right which at this ground IS the case.
However, nothing changes this season as the revitalised team in black & white took control of the remainder of the game to our dismay. 2 further goals conceded from set pieces and toothless forays into their half encapsulates the final 45 minutes of yet another disappointing performance from a team short on confidence and personnel.
Although I couldn't single out anyone in particular, except to say that JBG continued to frustrate, today epitomised the RD/KM stewardship of our Club. Far too many players of note still unfit, with overplaying in earlier games taking its toll on a paper thin squad and a bench full to the brim with newbies either not yet ready to be unleashed or not fully fit (surely not ? ) Today, certainly for nearly half of the match, Fulham weren't one of the best sides we've encountered since August but they had a good complement of experienced old heads on display - something we can only dream of. And something our esteemed owner STILL doesn't "get" despite his recent outpouring of mea culpas & pathetic excuses.
So, where do we go from here ? Regardless of the fact that we're not relegated until it's mathematically impossible to escape, t I'm afraid I have to plant my feet firmly in the "We're doomed, Mr Mainwaring" camp. Lack of goals & the inability to defend set pieces, especially corners = Division One. And whilst it saddens me to believe that's inevitable, there remains a dim glow in the distance which just MIGHT be Roland lighting the touch paper to his experiment. All we can hope is that Sir Peter of Ebbsfleet on his Kentish white charger is still hanging around on the touchline..
And of course, we need to let the regime know in increasing numbers & volume that we will not give up our protests & constantly remind him of the negatives which invariably accompany relegation. Anything less, and we will have failed our Club just as much as the owner.
I wonder how many of us will support the team at Deepdale on Tuesday night .

All the frustration, even the hysterical foul-mouthed stuff is totally understandable..BUT you are not going to get him out, or Katrien or anybody else. He will go sometime if a buyer can then be found but only when he has the whim to sell. He would rather not be relegated but I don't think even this will phase him at all. He can afford it and is stubborn enough to carry on regardless. Can anyone see the merit in having a ceasefire until we are mathematically down? It is 3 from 4 and, in other words, just one will say up if they win this mini-league. As the only club with a toxic split, we are very unlikely to be that one.

Wasn't expecting anything at Fulham. Listened to first half, sounded very encouraging, sounded like Harriott, Ba and Bergdich all played well. But same old story, couldn't score, conceded a goal, game over. Have to win at Preston now. Still possible, but we have to put a good run together and we will have no chance of doing that without Vetokele and Diarra getting back ASAP.
By the way, Ba was really good today and taking him off was one of the most baffling decisions I've ever seen from any Charlton manager. He was so good in the first half that I was feeling slightly glad neither Jackson nor Cousins were on the pitch.
Agree with this. Although he does still make some poor decisions, he consistently breaks up play and will get better for a run in the team. Hopefully he'll get that now.....
Not a great deal to add to what has already been said. We definitely shaded the first half - in fact Fulham didn't offer any attacking threat, with Lennon and Tex looking pretty solid. How important it was we score the first goal, but predictably we concede and inevitably the dynamic shifts. The second goal killed it. I thought that Ba and Harriot stood out, until Calum's abject lack of composure when presented with a guilt-edged chance by Maks deft layoff reminded us of one of his major flaws. I also liked Motta's cameo - how long since we had a full back so willing to run at defenders with real attacking intent. Hard to make a judgement on a brief appearance late in a game, but I'd like to see him given a start, I think he might add something we've been missing for a while.Seemed to have a presence about him.Solly of course has done nothing to warrant being dropped, but maybe we need to try something different.

FF - I always look forward to your post match views. I also know from reading your posts you have a resolute faith in the players and try and see the positives.
I've highlighted that line above because I think it tells a very telling story. I wasn't at the game today and can only go on reports about our first half that seemed to suggest Fulham went in undeservedly ahead at HT. But here we are again with another 3-0 defeat (is this our most common score line this season? I think it could be), against a team we may have deemed beatable.
Unfortunately we just aren't good enough, across every position, as a team, at management level, at executive level, and finally at the very top, the cancer that owns us.
Shit certainly rolls down hill, and RD has for about 3/4 years now, been actively demonstrating is incomptence when it comes to running football clubs. He may have the luxury of millions of pounds and other business interests, but we do not have the luxury of other football clubs that we fell in love with.
The administration stutters from one disaster to the next. The thing I cannot get my head around is the approach/general position of RD/KM et al since the rot as well and truly set in.
I can only assume RD doesn't care. He's lent money to the club which he's charging at an interest rate so perhaps he thinks his investment is covered in that respect, but we're losing money each season. The odd sale of a Joe Gomez here or there won't cut it when we're in League 2 for the start of the 17/18 season (I can truly see that happening). Where is this all going now? That has to be the question.
I'm bought in to the argument that others raised on the SLP thread about him being caught exposed re: relaxation of FFP and not having a plan B, but I just cannot get my head around it all.
We've now got to sustain and increase (if possible) the campaign to see him sell up or walk away. Many of us are starting to talk a lot more aggressively in terms of what we want/think should happen next and it's bloody difficult. I have every faith that CARD will continue to fight and put forward good ideas. I know that because the team is so shit the poor results will continue to fuel our anger.
What I don't know is how quickly and where this all ends. I'm very keen to increase the pressure on KM to snapping point (and I don't mean that in a violent way (although if I saw her fall flat on her face walking down to the valley on a match day, I wouldn't be in a rush to help her up)).
Charlton need to stop all these limp roasted protests with scarfs and masks and go full throtle
You talk the talk. Now walk the walk.
So many on here say this, but would rather other people break the law, like the person who was egged on to throw the Object which cracked the window at the Valley. (the police who walked by me,said they would identify him/her by looking at the filming of the incident)
Your get your wish now, because the shocking miss management of the last two years have come to fruition, and Duchatelet is on course for having a lower League team or national League team where his break even ideas might work.
The protests have so far got us national media exposure and the masks also got younger fans and older fans involved.
I back Card and Black and White 100%.
It smoked out Duchatelet and now we know his crazy master plan for us being a factory farm, he must go.
Fulham were near 3 goals better than us. Scoreline flattered them. Sums up our luck this season. And one word for the stewards *****!
The blaming of the stewards is ludicrous. I was very near the heart of the issues late on, and I'm utterly disgusted at the way our fans behaved. The two who tried to invade the pitch were completely to blame and the stewards did what they had to do. I'm in the press room now looking at the evidence, it's mad to say the stewards were to blame.
The abuse given by the young lads near me was making me cringe. If you don't pose a threat to the stewards or the pitch, they leave you alone. It's really that simple.
That is exactly how I saw it too. The lad was trying to confront and the stewards were trying to prevent him and the girl going where they shouldn't. The girl appeared to be showing off and milking the situation for all it was worth. And then our goon squad stormed down looking for action.

Actually thought Solly did OK in CM. Perhaps try him there in a 451 against Preston
So did we lose due to the protesting fans singing stand up if you want them out or was the good support the problem It matters not how we support the footballing set up the players are pony and we are going down

A good summary. I suspect Motta will start one of the next two games. Ba had a good game (my Fulham pal especially rated him) and I would imagine he was taken off at 0-2 to save him for Tuesday.
Maybe the Reading home game next Sat will see all three new defenders in the starting line-up.
There wasn't a lot wrong with the effort yesterday and some of the break-up play was pretty good. But the shooting was weak.
It was the same story as our last two visits....plenty of the ball, some good moments, no goals from us and some great finishing by Fulham.
Leaving aside the incidents at the end, the stewards did seem rather officious, 3 of them doing ticket inspections on every staircase to get back into the ground after half time did seem OTT, for example

Always chuckled at his name in the program myself.
Probably would have helped us out in a defensive midfield role.

Riga sorry but your "game plan" of a solid defence doesnt work--we need wins and are still as fragile as crystal
as for the big Dane he is no threat at all---weak as a wet lettice
