Can't wait to be back out there on the pitch. ⚽️0 -
From Ketts on Dr Kish:
Recent arrivals, Marco Motta and Yun Suk-Young, could start, while Rod Fanni and Yaya Sanogo could be on the bench.
Riga could have Jordan Cousins available again, but the game may come too soon for Igor Vetokele.
Riga's side could look something like this:
Henderson; Motta, Teixeira, Lennon, Yun; Gudmundsson, Cousins, Ba, Bergdich; Makienok, Harriott.
Subs: Pope, Fanni, Fox, Johnson, Poyet, Lookman, Sanogo.

Games running out when do we gamble on Igor etc?0

We already have. Which is why it's taken 18 months, to not have fully recovered match fitness, from an initial 4 month achilles injury.Goonerhater said:Games running out when do we gamble on Igor etc?

Agreed and he's been close for over two weeks.Covered End said:

This isn't the Achilles injury though, it's the groin. Barring a high risk of recurrence, I'd at least have him on the bench. Of course there may be a high risk of recurrence at this stage we just don't know.0 -
If this is true, it'd be quite frustrating. This side looked good in the first half on Saturday, but lacked cutting edge. Using the same attacking four (Mar, Harriott, Bergdich, JBG) would be at risk of having the same problems, especially given the fact that Preston tend to play three at the back, which completely shut down our attack in the second half on Saturday.ross1 said:From Ketts on Dr Kish:

Something needs to happen and don't ask me what because nothing has worked so far. The chances are the new signings will go in and they'll be just as bad as the mid season signings we've brought in up to now under this lot. They'll be unfit and crap.0

He's had multiple injuries.Covered End said:

Without Vetokele I do not see where the next goal is coming from.0

I guess the difference being that Fulham had Dan Burn who is just as tall as Makienok meaning he's got a threat in the airSDAddick said:

Play Lookman, one of the few players who can get us a goal.0

I know thanks. I said an INITIAL achilles injury.Dazzler21 said:

Don't care who plays - just hope everyone has a nice time.
Hopefully Preston don't get more than 5.0 -
Ran into a QPR-supporting friend yesterday, who said Young was an incredible player and we'd done really good business. That was until I pointed out that it didn't matter as we were relegated weeks ago...0

i met my /Jeonnam Dragons (where QPR signed him from) season ticket holder mate, and he said pretty much what your QPR mate said.

I'd rather see Lookman starting up front tonight. Looking forward to the match and hoping that they come out fighting like they did at Rotherham.0
-
This is about team spirit now, you can chop and change but it won't make any difference IMO. No spirit, no organisation and no ability to score.0
-
I hope Cousins is back tonight as I guess that Vetokele won't be fit, what's happened as they said last week he was 50-50, now he's suddenly not again?
Henderson
Motta Teixeria Lennon
Solly Ba Cousins Young
Gudmundsson
Makienok Lookman
Pope, Fanni, Bergdich, Harriott, Poyet, Sanogo, Reza
Is what I'd personally like to see tonight.
There's no excuses cause we're awful, but I wish we had Bauer, Diarra, Kashi, Jackson, Vetokele etc all able to be fit and play, the team would look so much better.1 -

Lots of comments about the goalkeeping situation, we have not had a keeper who commands his area with authority probably since Dean Kielly in my opinion but surely some of this is down to the goalkeeping coach. Who the hell appointed the current joker who I think came from Bolton. Even Ben Roberts was better than him. All of our recent keepers seem to be instructed to stay on the line very rarely coming to collect the ball and this instruction must come from the coach. We need to get a decent goalkeeping coach in and Deano would be a good idea (not sure where he currently is).0

According to Wikipedia, he's at Norwich.sarge1g said:Lots of comments about the goalkeeping situation, we have not had a keeper who commands his area with authority probably since Dean Kielly in my opinion but surely some of this is down to the goalkeeping coach. If Deano is at Norwich, he'll be working with two top class keepers. Our current goalkeeping coach does not look particularly inspiring - can only assume that he came cheap from Bolton.0
