Only one English born player in the starting eleven. Another first.0
-
And no academy player in the starting XI. When did that last happen?0
-
Sadly, that one Englishman was Roger Johnson.15

No! We had 22 on our books at various stages of 2006-2007. Typical line up would have been:
Carson - England
Young - England
El Kharkouri - Algeria
Diawara - Senegal
Hreiddarsson - Iceland
Reid - Eire
Holland - Eire
Faye - Senegal
Rommedahl - Denmark
Hasselbaink - Netherlands
Bent - England
Not mentioned: Andersen (Denmark), Myhre (Norway), Kishishev (Bulgaria), Gibbs (USA), Sorondo (Uruguay), Thatcher (Wales), Bougherra (Algeria), Song (Cameroon), Pouso (Uruguay), Zheng-Zhi (China), Lisbie (Jamaica)3 -
Can't believe Johnson hasn't been capped......
Still - there's time to play himself into the euros squad3 -

Is that the tallest 11 we ever had ?
Who couldn't get a sniff of the not so tall footballing god that is Yann Kermorgant1 -
Looking at that squad I'm guessing Senegal and Uruguay must have been bad in midfield/defence at the time. If they'd drawn each other in the World Cup I would imagine some sort of fifteen all score line.

A comment I made too, I don't remember seeing a taller Charlton side. Also one of the weakest in the air I've seen too !oohaahmortimer said:Is that the tallest 11 we ever had ?
