How can he have become quite so average though. We all knew Poyet was too good for the Championship when he was with us last time. Now? He looks like the sort of player we would expect to drop with us into league 1. Except he has a contract and monthly wage with West Ham. I don' t see him in tgeir first team any time soon.

Be gutted if west ham ended up losing money on him......

I had heard something similar, so it sounds like it might have been true.

Have also heard that he is not a fan of RD at all apparently.

    Apart from KM, is anybody?

    Google translate (http://m.voetbalnieuws.be/news/207329/Duchâtelet_faalde:_Speler_uit_Engeland_had_geen_trek_in_Standard)

No date/time on article, but according to Google, about 11 am, 13/03/16

Duchâtelet failed: Player from England had no appetite Standard

Roland Duchâtelet's been a while no longer chairman of Standard. Two years ago he wanted to get a player from England to Standard. The midfielder saw such a deal does not sit.

Diego Poyet is a 20-year-old midfielder, who two years ago 'Player of the Year' was at Charlton. Duchâtelet wanted to open up his contract and direct him to Standard. He hoped to put the player in the window of the Europa League. The player chose a move to West Ham United. There he got no further than two appearances in the Premier League.

Poyet was loaned to Huddersfield, MK Dons and Charlton in January hires him again.
