    Alan Curbishley - No one could be bothered to fight Curbs properly, he’d land a few soft blows to his opponent's elbow, then say "one of us is going to win and I don’t see why it can’t be me", before almost immediately crumbling when his ear gets flicked. Inexplicably he never gets back on his feet. Mervyn Day would be close at hand reading out loud from “Scrapping for Idiots”.

    Reminds me of the near cancellation of the Portsmouth vs Bolton match this season when Harry Redknapp wasn't feeling too grand and Sam Allerdyce was all bunged up.
