  • Whatever the result  that's a moral victory for Conor Benn.
Alright Nigel, time to log off.
Eubank couldn't stop a man who is naturally a stone lighter.
  • Fair play conor benn, very humble post fight
  • Conor Benn the people's champion? He's a drug cheat that hasn't done anything in his career yet.  :D
  • Cracking fight, both lacked power to finish so led to some excellent trading. Eubank showed a lot more heart and determination than I thought he still had in him.

Thought it was the right result.
  • I always felt with these two that it was like a couple of schoolboys having a bitch fight in the playground after a my dad is better than your dad argument got out of hand.
But I am no boxing fan, just like to watch the big fights.
    Sorry people, carry on

Listens to Radio 5 and they had 115 to 113, and the middle weight beat the welterweight. Sounded an exciting fight.

Lots of money for Connor Benn but he should go back to being a welterweight at 147; of course he won't because the multi millions are in a rematch.

He has just earned a bundle of cash. He should get himself a world title at welterweight. He's too young just to box for the money.
  • 4 rounds seems excessive. Benn ate some shots late on and Eubank looked fucked, probably the peds kicking in.

Have you got the story of the fighters the wrong way round 😂
  • Benn's knockout power has absolutely deserted him. Wonder why 🤔

In an ideal world yes but money will always dominate the decision making by promoters.
  • Can’t remember watching a fight where I wanted both to lose. Both living off their dad’s names. Eubank looked like he was fighting a toddler and still couldn’t get a finish. Eubank snr is an embarrassing attention whore. Eugh a shocking evening all round. I’ll cheer up at some point!

In theory both men could knock each other out at the same time but not certain its ever happened !
The mum's are going to fight next:
Karron Eubank v Caroline Jackson (Connors mum) is being lined up.

I won't sleep tonight after the sporting day that has unfolded.
Its been an emotional day where Palace are in a cup final, Millwall could get in the Championship play off and Charlton had a bad day at the office with a couple of workers calling in sick and instead of a miracle occurring and potentially nicking 2nd, reality came calling and we could end up in 5th if it's a draw between Wycombe and Stockport even if we beat Burton with our fit players.

From the highs of Easter Monday😀 to the lows of black Saturday 😔

I’ve just trudged home from the station trying to convince myself that none of it really matters… but it really does matter 😂

It started so well with Wycombe's defeat at Orient, followed by Lincoln's 2 goal lead at Stockport. Unfortunately, from then on it went seriously tits up!
Just remember though, Millwall have to win at Burnley to have any chance of the play-offs.

If there's one sport where I wouldn't begrudge a competitor just going for the money, it's boxing.

That's fair enough but if you can grab a world championship belt along the way then why not?

100% combat sports is a very dangerous career. Take the money where you can! Both of them are tossers though!

He'd have to fight a live opponent in his division first rather than sitting out for a year waiting for Eubank.
  • Eubank was taken to hospital after the fight and Benn claims that he broke his jaw.
