The first fight was a robbery, this was a close fight. I had GGG winning but he was never getting the decision against Canelo. Alvarez makes far too much PPV money for that Shit truth unfortunately.
Unless another fighter starts making more $ in the States, especially the west coast, Canelo won't lose on points
GGG has the highest KO ratio of any middleweight in history - and wasn't able to put Canelo down in 24 rounds.
Canelo lost to Mayweather on points on Mexican Independence weekend! (one judge gave it a draw but retired/was retired immediately after the fight). I take your point about PPV - Mayweather was the King!

It's those rounds you can't split, D - judges very, very rarely give even rounds so one or two of those rounds you can't split may have gone to Canelo.
One of if not the most corrupt things I have ever seen in a sport. Golovkin has beat that cheat twice now and somehow walked away with a draw and a loss ruining his flawless record and in the books will tarnish his legacy.
The reality is, Canelo is late 20's and from Mexico (massive for PPV numbers) GGG is from Kazakhstan and on the wrong side of 30. It's no better than WWE imo. All very scripted and suited to make the most money.

It is strange how so many people can see a fight so differently. I had it very close, a lot of rounds I didn’t feel I could score one way or another as they were so evenly balanced. GGG finished stronger imo and if I was pushed I would have said just edged it, but a Canelo win wasn’t a huge shock imo.

You are right, and I don't see why judges don't just come out and say what they are looking for. If nothing else it would give fighters the chance to make it a consideration when they train in the lead up.
When I was still playing football on a Sunday the referee would have a chat with the captain's and explain he won't stand for bad language as an example (Geoff Ford for anyone who playing in the Medway messenger leagues!) the captain would come over and explain we could be as physical as we liked but to keep our Tourettes under control as an innocuous 'bollocks' As you sliced a clearance would result in us playing with 10 men
Then if you called the opposirion centre forward a diving c*nt you only had yourself to blame when his exceptional ears for vulgarity picked it up and sent you on your way
I don't know why someone hasn't gripped a board of control or why they haven't gripped a judge and asked them to publicly explain how on earth they came up with the scoring they did.

If I'm honest, this is probably why the result of this fight has left such a sour taste with me. If you look at the rematch as a sole spectacle, it was a close fight that the judges have seen differently to us. But, with both fights together, Golovkin has been totally and utterly robbed.
