I suppose we are now moving from spectacular engagements, to a more drip drip attritional phase in this campaign. I suspect a healthy fund will be of great benefit even over the coming months, because even if the protest energy dissipates, there will still be some activity given the commitment shown so far.
Whilst dishing out balloons, one lovely lady said to me last Saturday that CARD should have bought the club with all the money we have raised! If only...
Did you know on this day that the total so far donated to our Protest Fund is £26,077. It got a massive bump again this week from our very generous benefactor. Thanks again.
That is a serious amount of money but obviously we have spent a fair amount of it!
However much you have donated, be it £5 or £100 every bit is gratefully received.

Richard Murray?
Probably, but he wants it back (interest free) when they are gone...
Am I right is saying that the fund has averaged about £5k per month since it started?
We started the fund in early January, so about three and a half months old. That's approximately £7500 per month - that includes CARD merchandise revenue as well as donations but even so, it is an amazing sum and true testimony of the generosity and passion of Charlton fans.
By the way, the latest donations included £300 from @Big in Brasov from the sale of his song - more to follow.
So the ad hoc CARD fighting fund is getting an average of £250 per day. Could we please get that up to £300? All that would mean is next time you're thinking of £5, make it £6 if you can, or make £10 into £12 if you can stretch to that.
Just wanted to say, after having been the recipient of Protest Fund money, how efficient and quick they were to re-imburse me and how very helpful they were too. If it were Ebay, i'd be giving them 10/10 - or wharever it is they do on Ebay.
Please donate - we need you to pay for our beers down the brewery.
(thats a joke BTW- not very funny, but what do you expect?)
I can't believe how much work two people get through with the collection/disbursement and other responsibilities.
The Leeds support asking for £750 for a single protest made me chuckle a little but really only because @Davo55 in identifying the need for cash to fund the protests and then @Curb_It and everyone else who has been involved.
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking the protests have been the highlight of what after the end of August has been a terrible terrible season on so many levels.

Absolutely agree! I can't believe how they find/make time for all that they do. Thank you to both and all on CARD for giving up your time. But also for empowering otherwise placid people like me to protest and really enjoy volunteering to save the club which is a vital part of our lives.
Just seen a black and white scarf at London Bridge - 'tis a sign that I must donate to the protest fun on today, payday, Friday, first day of a bank holiday weekend, most joyous day*.
*or it was just a Notts County supporter on his way to work.
Many small donations make a big difference. I'm setting up a modest standing order and even if we just put in the price of a pint a month it will give security to the fund.
We appreciate the kind words but the real heroes are all the Charlton fans who have put money in to fund the protests. Some are one-offs, some are regular. Some large, some smaller depending on personal circumstances - but all equally appreciated.
After my post yesterday, I've just had a quick check online and from what I can gather an approx total of £715 has been donated since I last checked yesterday.

SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN POUNDS in 24 hours...
We aren't going away.
Can you PM me the PayPal address please? Cheers.
If everyone here on this site donates even just the price of one beer tonight (call it a London price beer ;-)) the safety net we can have in that fund would be huge, would get us through the entire off-season I should imagine.

So don't stop donating.

The song is still available to download at:
