I was told today that if you have a banner under your jacket you may get shot if a police officer thinks it is a suicide vest! Yeah soft police to worry about lol

If that's the case don't wear it under your jacket... Surely other fans are allowed banners? Why make yourself a target to get shot?!

To be fair, I'm sure the Stewards are going to be reluctant to let a negative banner in - just like at The Valley. I can understand that point.

I said I'll leave it and I will, I won't waste my money going over to Belgium thanks, I have more important things in life to pay for.

This football club is a huge part of my life, most of the posters on this forum have helped me in my lows, but there is more to life than football, more to life than this football club.

If you can't see past that you won't see anything I say.

@The_President and @Dazzler21 do you realise you are arguing over a misunderstanding of what each other is saying, dazzler weren't saying everyone was just in it for the booze but that it would be an added bonus, something that is probably true but misinterpreted and president only took it that badly because he thought it was originally a dig. So can we please shake hands and get along?

Glad you can see that @sadiejane1981, I don't think the state of the club helps any of us be patient with one another either.

It was a misunderstanding that got heated @Dazzler21 is one of the good guys you know that, if it was one of a number of other people then I get it but the reason I re-read the whole thread is because it didn't ring true, you both got heated his original comment was meant in good humour, you in essence probably agree with each other, don't let the anger towards the regime and our imminent relegation affect your judgement or over shadow your trip.

Lads best of luck out there, once the protest is done get properly smashed... you'll owe it to yourselves.

Also plenty of pictures, that's what smart phones are for.

Just to clarify the message here is genuine, it always was.

Get the serious stuff done then unwind, that's what my message always was meant to be.

Just meant it to be received in a tongue in cheek way.

Thanks everyone. Nice to see that most people have good things to say, instead of some drongos who think we are only out there on the lash. Especially with the amount of money, time and planning that everyone going has put into this.

If you still think that's the belief you're being a bell end.

I said good luck, I support your action, but if I'm expected to believe you won't also have a good time you can fuck right off.

We all know I certainly do that if I'd come along I'd have a good time too once the protests are completed, the stress has passed and you'll rightly let your hair down have too many beers go to bed and come back having accomplished something many of us can't say we did.

Don't see why you have to try and pretend you won't?

We're not KM and RD we understand what people are really like!

I hope the people going make a good protest, and have a good time. Fuck me if I could go, and had asked to, I would be very disappointed if I didn't have a good time. Very disappointed.

That said, I could end up being taken on by the Belgian police who are probably a bit tetchy right now, that would put me a bit on edge and I'd probably have a word in advance to make sure they were OK.

Having said that, the Belgian police are about 20 years behind the UK police in terms of being influenced by important peeps.

It isn't a no risk trip but it has the potential to make a massive impact.

I'm not in a position to go, but am happy to give some funds to support the initiative.

It seems so more likely than another chanting session at the Valley to tip RD into must sell. And that is important.

They might be small in number but it's the quality that matters.
  • You should know that it's a nothing match for Sint Truiden. They are bottom of their Playoff 2 group and have little to play for. Don't expect a large crowd.

Have you seen the crowds at The Valley lately? It sure doesn't stop the protests there.

It's a shame that it's this weekend the lads are going over, sounds like we need all hands to the pump for the Brighton protests

We have to fight them on both fronts! we are all gutted we cant be at the Brighton game, and a couple of guys felt they had to fight the fight in SE7 which we respect.

I would also like to add if anyone would like to join us please let me know, as we have some space now.

Are we now to 'go to' club for protesters? What fantastic fans we have.

Have a great weekend. Do us proud.

How many are really going? I hope it is 200.
