I'm going to be completely honest: I felt so sorry for Katrien in the second clip, with the presentation.
We've all probably been there - we've fucked up, we're trying to give a presentation and we're nervous. We don't really know what we're doing, and everything is going wrong. Even the bloody projector doesn't want to show the correct slides. How did it get that bad?
Having watched it in it's entirety, that was a really well put together video. Demonstrated clearly the ineptitude of everyone from Roland, through Katrien and to the individual managers - i.e Peeters, Luzon and Karel.
I've taken a bit of a break the last few days, so that was the first footage I'd seen of Riga's press conference too. I thought he came across pretty well, unlike the others. Unlike the others he's had the decency to go though, and I actually don't feel too confident that he'll be continuing to work under Roland. I think he tried to break away from the network before - via Blackpool.

You're a nicer person than me, I'm glad she struggled.
Hard to watch. Only covers a few of the major problems they've caused. In truth if there was a video that covered every single fuck up, including the weird transfers, then the video would be more like a movie.
Superb video. Despite the obvious hard work and technical expertise in this video, the thing that shines through is that the video has not been created by somebody who wants to show off, but by somebody who has tried to sincerely encapsulate what they and we have been going through. Encapsulated brilliantly. Thank you.
You have more talent than the whole lot who are running ( or should that be ruining) OUR club. I have followed Charlton since 1948 so I have been lucky, to all of you Charlton supporters keep your faith IT WILL come back hopefully before I go , but it will.
Great video. Hearing her "customer" polemic again afresh in all its unmisinterpretated glory it was even clearer how much she was taking the piss. Sorry Mandy.
The Luzon press conference is truly priceless-Katrien telling us he was the obvious best candidate amongst all those applications and then Guy proceeding to stumble and splutter his way through every question asked. Embarrassing....
Cracking way to present this mess. Excellent work.
Not a criticism, certainly, but the only thing I can think of that isn't in there that perhaps should be, speaking to Karel's role, is the Hendo interview. His face/tone in that interview spoke a million words about the situation.

That did not stop her F***ing up for the rest of her stay

Echo Lookouts thoughts. Hendo's interview was like speaking to someone who had just lost somebody close to them. It was raw and emotive.
Amazingly put together video. Perfectly sums up the situation at the club over the last two years , with a sad tone and some dark humour mixed in. Get this shared to highlight our plight to other fan bases.

I find it too painful to watch again but I believe I'm right when I say she doesn't actually apologise for this FU just like she never apologises personally for any of her other FUs. She may use the Royal 'we' possibly but she is careful always to distance herself from any personal responsibilty if something goes wrong or is perceived as having gone wrong.
I think I see where you are coming from but did you really have to make that comment about feeling sorry for her on this thread Lucky Reds?
Shall we leave the tangental discussion here and go back to applauding the The Duchatelet Effect video?
Thanks all - it definitely wasn't enjoyable to make, nor watch through each and every one of the fan forums again trying to remember where the biggests cock-ups were.
The most frustrating thing is the lack of Roland footage. That's the only reason he is relatively absolved of any guilt in the video is he rarely sticks his head above the parapet. What do they say, 'better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it'?
@LoOkOuT - Good point re: Fraeye/Hendo interview; at the time all I could find was Murray saying 'interim was a great term for his role'. The suspicions/vague confirmation that he was never interim in the first place, plus a load of other stuff, like Meire stating she wanted Luzon to be 'our Ferguson' were annoyingly never filmed/recorded, just reported in print, and I didn't want a million printed quotes flying all over the place, so I chose not to stick them in.
A big thing that did help was some of the cracking footage coming out of the protests during the last few games.
(Also, the video of Luzon holding up a picture of Riga and pulling a face showing he had no idea who he is was an interesting one. It was posted about two weeks after Riga was appointed Charlton manager and Luzon was Liege Manager - sadly my lack of French means I have no idea of the purpose for the video? But the link is here if anyone does know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8s29_hZYnI )

She's so out of her depth. That 10 mins sum up what a shambles the 2 years have been

From day one of when Katrien arrives she looks good normal and healthy and has already aged terribly in only 2 years.
My word the plan was to have a half time dance off for a chance to sit in the sofa.
