BEAT THE BOOKIE COMPETITION 2015/6 **WEEK 36 RESULTS AND FINAL TABLES**

Well they say you save the best 'til last.
And I say Bo****ks.
Not one of the 55 lifers managed a return this week.
On the plus side it saves me working out one table.
Congratulations to creepyaddick on winning this seasons competition.

The rest finished on -£360

As has been mentioned before, this competition was a last minute thought and the way that winning stakes don't come out of your pocket but losing ones or non-participation does, it is really a 'beat the other lifers' competition rather than beating the bookie.

If we were betting with real money, with a real bookie the following table would apply.
image

Other Stats
118 lifers took part.
only 27 of those would've been in profit.
The most entries in any one week was 89
The most winners in any one week was 35
The biggest collective return in any one week was £1,956
The biggest single win was creepyaddicks £1048 (one of only 2 wins all season was enough to see him champion)
The most wins was 13 by Redmidland
The most we put into the virtual bookies pocket was £555
If we were doing this for real, collectively we gave the bookie £3,150

It certainly was an eye-opener for me, a regular punter.
I hope you enjoyed it and have learnt something whether it be that betting is not for you or you change the way you bet (for the better).

This has probably been my favourite thing about this season so thank you very much @paulbaconsarnie, it was a great distraction checking my results from this after watching some of the "football" we have watched!

Great effort Paul. Hope you are up for doing it next season as I know how much time and effort it can take to run something like this, having done so for 22 years now!

Thanks @paulbaconsarnie, I've enjoyed this more than the football. I hope I can't say that at the end of next season.

Great competition - taught me not to use real money on trebles too!

    Cheers Paul.

Cheers @paulbaconsarnie it was great competition. I think everyone lost on the last week as they set their sights on winning enough to win the comp (I know I did...) but that was a gamble too far. Well done @creepyaddick - see you same time same place next year!

As Charlton Fans we've endured an annus horribilis.
No bum cream in the world will sort that out.
    We have piles of problems.
Thank you Paul Bacon Sarnie, for the flicker of candle light
in the Black hole of Duchatelet.
Will Douchebag Be going soon ?
    Don't bet on it.

Thank you for running this, been great fun in what has been an awful season. Please do the same again next season but I presume we will be betting on league one results?

Thanks for doing this. Really enjoyed it - even though I'm bottom of the table! It really bought home to me how difficult it is to forecast wins in this game! I mean who would have thought West Ham would lose 1-4 to Swansea at the weekend - "funny old game".

Echo what everyone else is saying, it looks easy on paper to get a treble up but the table proved otherwise. Thanks for organising it @paulbaconsarnie and congratulations to creepyaddick.
