I'll ask yet again - what extreme and vile personal abuse?!
Well for a start the 'slapper' and 'chlamydia' song; the c-word posted on the comments of the Dublin video. I'm also aware of some particularly nasty emails she's received, a small number crossing the line into criminal transgression.
I'm in no way defending her, and she may have the skin (and hide) of a rhino - but let's not pretend she's not been abused.

I agree 100% and those are things she should not have to tolerate, however, it comes with the territory of being a CEO at a fairly big football club.
One thing i would like to say, is that Katrien statement proves that i was civil, pleasant and non-confrontational to her father - and not the neanderthal terrorist as it appeared that some fellow posters wanted to portray me as this time last week. However, i accept all your apologies - and intend to carry on visiting Belgium to protest as long as it takes to get shot of both them - ok , we 'targeted' Meire last time ,but next time it might be RD himself. There will be no parents visited again, but we may well diversify our protests.
Why bother to go to Belgium, Murray lives a lot nearer
Tell ya what.......
Why is this weasle getting such an easy ride?
I get the feeling, after speaking privately with a few people tonight, that that is about to change.
Putting the focus (legally of course) on Murray is a good way of side lining the sexism accusation.
The problem with Murray is he is a nobody really and I don't think Roland cares what happens to him. We just have to be clear regardless what happens when Roland goes so does Murray.
But if the fan base want him "targeted" (is it ok to use this word yet?) over Roland and Katrien then that's something we can do very simply

Personal abuse does weaken our cause but is hard to stop.
That talk sport article is a take your breath away incredible show of chutzpah. It's like she's some how not complicit in the whole sorry mess, lifting chunks of copy from elsewhere and passing it off as her opinion...
I genuinely think she thinks she's doing a good job.

I agree, if Murray went nothing would change. If Katrien goes, I very much doubt Roland will find someone who would do his dirty work to the extent she does.
Surely we don't want meire to go, she is far too important to us.
Ok for one thing (now I'm a bit less annoyed) she is not hinting that the fans are raciest. She is mostly just clumsy with words whilst rattled and visibly outspokenly upset (weirdo). Attention seeker - drama. Even though she has already lost before she has even said a word.
What I'd like to know is who the hell was she supporting 15 years ago? Belgian Scumbags FC?
She is obviously rattled. I am interested in psychology. Mostly within animals but humans also, of course it's interesting. Aside from the fact that she's ruining my club, she is somewhat of an interest point because ...
A professional could learn from her personal strange-ness and she is in a high profile position.
I believe she is a sociopath but a non threatening one. That's not a sly dig. She is not a dangerous person so I really don't want to be overly harsh when suggesting something serious but:
1.Pathological liar
2. Not being able to answer questions. Or simply taking the piss, when asked questions. Diving all around them. In-direct.
3. Cannot admit anything is wrong or fully grasp it. She has mentioned things that have gone wrong but just says it happens as in, it's okish. Don't blame me for common occurrences. WRONG
4. Having too much self worth. Where she brings up the community stuff, the academy, the affordable football. She is crushed that side is not frequently praised, even though it's almost non relevant and not that impressive. Those things were already at the club. The club invested in charlton BECAUSE OF THOSE THINGS, even as they say.
^She must be told she is great. A sociopath survives on it. She is hurt.
5.She has a little following of worshipers. Ie Mandy. Not that impressive but she is still up her butthole. There will be others too.
6. Constantly in denial anything is wrong. She will get angry if the facts and figures are shown factually that the club has turned sour. Probably wouldn't bear look at it and would get passive aggressive.
7. The sex vid is a bold move that someone with a funny mental disorder may overly approve of. It was not appropriate.
8. She is apparently initially charming and stands out. You know, how some people get jobs.
Those are sociopathic traits and probably more where that came from. However, it doesn't always complete the individual.
She might just about escape being fully branded as a sociopath.
This speech just shows the extent of self-delusion she's reached. If she cared about her history she might know that we were once one of the best run clubs, with supporters involved to the benefit of the club both on the inside and outwith.
I imagine many CEOs would have stood up to defend their business or provide explanation when challenged in the way she was. What would have followed would have been a well-reasoned exchange, relevant to the discussion. But such is utterly beyond her abilities and judgement.
Once again she played the victim, but she did so in front of true professionals talking a grown up game about how football could be better governed to protect the wider game from people like her. Her answer? "I should be protected!" - like an only child demanding something from a weak brow-beaten mother.
It's buttered no parsnips with us, it buttered no parsnips with them either because they know our history and know that it takes something extraordinary to get Charlton fans acting in this way.
And yet again she hasn't given a second's thought to the probability that her words would be repeated on social media within minutes. It's Olly and George I feel most sorry for - how do you solve a walking comms car crash like Daisy?
"Hi Uncle Roland. It's me, Katrien. I've got something I need to tell you. Er...well...ahem...I've gone and done it again..."
"What did you do this time?" "Well I was at a sports business conference and someone accused Charlton of being badly run." "And what did you do?" "I justified their concern."
I love the comment about perception. Katrien, how difficult is it to understand that you are perceived as being shit because you are shit.
Also, what protection does she expect?! Similar to the way Roland was going to revolutionise football with his imaginative ideas which they expected all to follow, maybe she thinks she can persuade the powers that be to ban swearing at football so all the mummies and babies can come back and have a jolly nice time watching their shit team getting gubbed again.
Echoing an earlier poster but she really is a twat.

Also, hasn't she been banned from talking to the media?
She's clearly wanted to get something out since the last Belgium trip on 23rd April - it must have been really tough for her to keep her big gob shut all that time with it all bubbling under - and then suddenly today someone released the pressure valve and whoosh....off went the helium balloon. I must admit, that she has done well to keep it under wraps that long - i'm not sure i could have done the same.
I am a bit troubled by the possible direct threatening abuse Katrien might have received, and it has been said on here quite often, that a few of the recent songs and chants have been less than wholesome. These things are definitely a matter of regret in my view.
Many people would say it is understandable and to be expected given what she has done, and indeed today Katrien is beseeching people to rise above such behavior nonetheless.
I think it is worth repeating what was also alluded to in the conference today, the concept of passion.
Season tickets are promoted by associating with the 'legendary covered end drummer', loyalty is sought, we are exhorted to get behind the boys and make some noise, we are requested to be passionate. Yet passion is just that, organic and raggedy, not a matter of precision engineering that can be turned on and off. So if passion manifests itself in this instance in nasty ways, it is the flip side of the positive passion that the club demands of the supporters.
Yes it is a matter of regret that things have got so nasty, but for so many it is about the choice between evils. I don't want to be living in this occupied place with searches, eyeballing, suspicion, failure, lies and contempt and all the other crap we have to endure. I don't know if it constitutes an excuse, or provocation, but fans are driven to behave in ways they would never do normally by the regime that wants to exploit our passion, yet is destroying the very thing we feel passionate about.
@LuckyReds mate, I genuinely would take anything she says with a pinch of salt
I agree completely, but reading that I'm stunned that she wouldn't expect the correct wording to be reported.
Oh well, at least those attending saw two mild mannered fans outside talking to her - in contrast to the criminals and bullies she's made us out to be.
In fairness to her, she has admitted that the playing and managerial personnel decisions have been catastrophic, but not everything else is "shit". Granted, the playing and managerial personnel decisions are the two most important things she should do. But some of the other stuff isn't shit.
She reminds me a bit of this clip. Clearly this man is completely on top of his job - a bit like Katrien. He can't really be blamed for some of the smaller, less-significant issues that have taken place. After all, "in 1975, no-one died. In 1976,no-one died..."

Now I'm confused!
