This is a good point though. She actually said that we had a "signed agreement" with him. So... does that make him our shortest serving manager ever? What was it, five minutes?

An "agreement" may not have been a full formal contract. It could have been (in lawyer speak) a Heads of Terms. When the formal contract was placed in front of Wilder, it may have not been explicit in terms of player recruitment or reflect what had been verbally agreed. Meire as a lawyer would be fully aware a breach of contract can be sued upon so I suspect she knows that what is actually signed is not water tight.

I'm no fan of the Mail, and while this might hasten the welcome departure of the dear lady, i dont' like or trust this article. Nowehere in the main article is the headline " the club ripped up contract after Wilder wanted assurances" justified - Wilder in effect simply left it on the table.

But RD has to realise that at this stage even if KM is telling the truth about the "control" clause, he can't really expect anyone to believe her. This is why her position is now untenable - she has no credibility among fans, nor I suspect players & staff. She has to go...

No-one can possibly believe her nonsense about Wilder being poised to sign until Sheffield United came good. The club announced they were in talks with Wilder, which meant the world and his dog could see it was taking too long to complete, at which point Sheffield United decided to move in knowing that we'd made a bollocks of signing him up.

The bottom line is that they wouldn't give him full control and it cost them their man. Publicly. Embarrassingly.

I think it is the latter - she won't resign - the owner will either mover her on or he will sell. We have seen enough to know that she as absolutely no awareness of her failings.

So: He'll (the manager) will need to make everyone work for the same kind of goal. So that's where we went wrong last season. We kept getting different types of goal - i.e. the opposition kept scoring them

How about CEO indiscipline - speaking at conferences reported by the media when you have been advised not to speak to the media and having rather a lot of more relevant things to do at work. The players must love her if she has lectured them like this all season.
