Class SE7 End Of Year Report pupils 2-7

edited May 2007 in General Charlton
2. Young -Luke has performed well over most of his 6 years at the school. We would like him to stay but he may prefer to further his ambitions at a bigger school.

3. Hreidarrsson- Hermann has given this school some good service but as his speed and ability have decreased he has been guilty of arguing with authority figures far too much. Hermann would benefit from a fresh start at a new school.

4. Faye- Amdy has tried hard but been found wanting at this school. A fresh start elsewhere may be better for all concerned although he has been harshly and unfairly treated at times. If he is unable to find a new school he may perform better in a slightly less pressured environment.

5. Reid- Andy has undoubted ability which he showed to good effect on occasion. However he has been absent far too often possibly because his lifestyle away from school is not as dedicated as it should be. The next academic year has 46 tests not 16 or 26. If Andy is not prepared to knuckle down and attend school more often it might be better to see if Roy at Sunderland is prepared to take a chance on him.

6. Kishishev- Radostin always tries his best in class and has been a wonderful pupil for 7 years. At a lower academic level Radostin could do very well. The new headmaster does not like him though so it is probably better for Radostin to find a new school.

7. Bent- Marcus has the physical attributes to be an outstanding pupil. Too often though he lacks application and his behaviour out of school does not help him. He needs a new school as soon as possible.

Following Kish and Fortune's temporary suspensions from class this term, I wouldn't be surprised if the Headmaster were to permanently exclude them (plus quite a few others) before the start of next term.

    8. Holland- Matty is always pleasant in class and a pleasure to teach. His attitude is exemplary however his legs are showing signs of going. He may cope for another year at a lower level. The new headmaster likes him so he will probably be allowed to stay at school for another year should he wish to do so.

    9. Zhi- Zheng came on an exchange with a view to becoming a permanent pupil. That is unlikely to happen but Zheng brightened up the place and performed very well during his short stay at the school.

    10. Bent- Darren is one of the most outstanding pupils ever to attend this school. His attitude and attainment have both been exemplary during his time here. We would love to keep him but it is inevitable that he will seek to progress at a bigger school. We wish him every success for the future.

    11. Ambrose- Darren shows flashes of outstanding ability but sadly not often enough. He is still young though and showing signs of maturing. We hope he thrives with us next year in a less demanding environment.

    12. Lisbie- Kevin has been at this school 10 years yet in some ways he is like a new boy. If the new headmaster decides to give him one more chance he really must make the most of this last opportunity.

    14. Thomas- Jerome is one of the most talented pupils at the school. His attitude is often awful though and not attending the open day parade was the last straw. It would be better for everybody if he finds a new school.

Matthew Holland's time as Head Boy has been rejuvinated since i joined the school- I hope after taking some time at agricultural college that he comes back and joins the staff. He would make a valuable addition.

15/ El Karkouri. Never a quiet moment when Telal is about, but sometime he forgets why he is here. Often prone to moments of madness- he has provided some memorable moments in our school's recent history. His recent venture into our Drama department also seemed to work well. Although he has expressed a wish to persue pastures new, a further year might suit all parties.

16/ Song/Bilong- Alexandre obviously has talent and we are greatful to his old headmaster for letting him board with us for a few months.

17/ Gibbs- Who is this boy?

    18. Hasselbaink- Jimmy had far more dinner money than the other boys and this showed in his physique and performance. A disappointing year way below expectations. He needs a new start.

    19. Rommedahl- Dennis has shown occasional glimpses of brilliance during his time at the school but too often gives up when the rough and tumble of the playground gets too much. His recent comments suggest that he is not happy at school so we bid him farewell.

    20. Hughes- Bryan is an enigma in that he has a lot of ability which he does not always show. Next years curriculum should be easier and Bryan could therefore thrive. He would be welcome to stay but may decide to return to his old school in Birmingham to sit on the benches in the gymnasium.

    21. Walton- Simon is a boy who shows a lot of promise. He must learn to control himself though and not fight with his peers. His indiscipline could ruin a promising career. We look forward to an improvement next year.

    22. Bougherra- Madjid came to the school late so it is hard to form a reliable impression. We will know more after a full academic year.

    23. Diawara- Souleymane took a while to settle in and unfortunately upset the Chairman of Governors not long after his arrival. He has made excellent progress though and will be an important pupil next year should he decide to stay.

    24. Fortune- Jonathan has been committed and reliable although slightly lacking in ability for 6 or 7 years. At a lower level he could still have much to offer. Unfortunately he appears to have upset the new headmaster so may not be at school next year.

    26. Youga- Kelly sadly is not up to the standards required for this school. There is a very nice school in Gravesend where many of our less able pupils have thrived.

    27. Elliott- An uneventful year for Rob following last years excellent progress. Hopefully a temporary blip.

    28. Sankofa- After a shaky start to the year Osei gained in confidence and should be able to make a real contribution next year. He appears to have an excellent attitude.

    29. Sam- Lloyd is keen and willing and has made the most of his limited opportunities this year. Next year we hope he will be one of the star pupils of the school.

    30. Weston- Myles was not deemed good enough when seconded to another school. Another candidate for the special school in Gravesend.

    32. Thatcher-Ben had a reputation as a school bully when he arrived in the middle of the term. However, other than an unfortunate incident on the school trip to Blackburn, he conducted himself well and should prove a useful acquisition for next year.

    33. Randolph- Darren sat patiently on the gymnasium bench for much of this year but showed promise when loaned to another school and did very well in his first game for our school. He should do well next year.

    35. Ashton- Nathan showed promise when Carlisle visited but was unable to make much headway at Bermondsey Borstal. He has the asset of pace so may come again.

    36. Myhre- Thomas is a polite boy who always acknowledges visitors to the school.

    37. Walker - Congratulations to James on being voted young pupil of the year. Unfortunately I can see him ending up at the special school in Gravesend nevertheless.

    38. Carson- Scott arrived on an exchange and did so well he was voted pupil of the year. We would love to keep him but he will almost certainly go on to a bigger school where we are sure he will be very successful.

    Dear Mr and Mrs Hasselbaink,

Despite repeated warnings Jimmy still brings far more dinner money to school than the other boys.

I have spoken to the Chairman of Governors and he agrees that Jimmy should be permanently excluded forthwith.

    Yours sincerely,

    A Pardew Headmaster
