Well, based on the first half of the M’Gladbach- Bayern game which íve decided to watch out of curiosity, y’all should watch a bit of Bundesliga. High octane attack more or less non-stop. And they say Bundesliga 2 may be more exciting this season with so many big clubs down in it.
Saw him at St Pauli at the weekend against Hansa Rostock. Came on as a sub late on. Controlled it with his first touch, scored with his second. A 4-0 win and top of the league (Bundesliga 2).

Makienok plays a regular cameo but can't dislodge Guido Burgstaller as the main forward. Invariably though he comes on and makes an impact and is part of a very useful St Pauli team. Their forward play has been impressive for a couple of seasons now.
Simon Makienok came on as a late sub last night as St Pauli beat Dortmund in the cup!
Dortmund didn't fuck about too much with their team; Haaland scored, Witsel scored an OG, Hummels, Bellingham, Hazard, Meunier & Reus all played. That's an amazing result for St Pauli and they are definitely on the up.
Hamburg also got through to the quarter finals on pens away at Cologne. Great losing pen from Cologne; matey slipped as he shot and scored but was ruled to have made contact with both feet, so it was disallowed! Bad luck....

That is quite an achievement, beating Dortmund. What a season they're having.
St . Pauli are Hamburg's equivalent to Millwall. Hamburg are posher, like us. Should suit Makienok
Yeah Millwall, that well know extreme Socialist club and area.
I was wrong according to my German cousin. St.Pauli are seen as a community club and set good standards. Therefore I am now a St.Pauli supporter. My mum's family are from Hamburg so I will accept what my cousin has told me.
That's correct. St Pauli area left-wing, inclusive, anti-fascist club, whereas Hamburg SV are seen as right wing. The Hamburg derby is quite tasty, shall we say.
Makienok came on again in the Hamburg derby Friday night. HSV came from behind to win 2-1, with a winning goal from Bakery Jatta.
Jatta is an interesting case as he is possibly still under threat of sanction as some people say he is playing under a false-identity (he came to Germany as a refugee). The story has rumbled for well over a year now and doesn't seem to be going away. The newspaper, Sport-Bild, seems particularly keen to keep the story going.

It is like scoring two for us against Palace.

The Nottingham Forest board Mercedes Vito was stuck for a while as well.
Amazing atmosphere - unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. Standing, drinking beer and smoking weed. Top!
Agree, they look great going forward this year. Hope it continues.
