He said that on referendum day when it looked like remain would win by that margin too. I'd agree we either need another one or to have it out in the commons and get MPs to vote on whether we leave or not. This is what they were elected for after all. Anyone found to be lying gets hung drawn and quartered5

In 1992 Denmark voted against the Maastricht treaty and won the EUROs.
In 2016' England voted to leave EU, will they win EURO 2016?18 -
Let it go now and move on.15

Wales also voted out, so they'll beat England in the final...c4fcdenmark said:In 1992 Denmark voted against the Maastricht treaty and won the EUROs.

He probably still wants one because him and his party is now irrelevant as it stands...0

His cv will look quite impressive.0

Why at 10'clock on Thursday night did Nigel Farage say Remain were going to just win ?
Was he set up by his hedge fund mates so they could make another killing ?
before the Newcastle and Sunderland results came in ?
Predicting the falling pound in the minutes before it crashed.
So much disinformation from both sides.

I personally think we will have a wait and see situation. If there is a financial crisis, lots of job losses, broken brexit promises and general fuckup-ery then i wouldn't be surprised to see a second referendum come about, with very different results.2

Except that the broken brexit promises and general fuckup-ery won't become clear until we have actually left and it will be too late if people decide that they were sold a pup and want to go back.

It's too late now but how stupid was it to have the vote with no acknowledgment that this was a huge decision and that the status quo had to be protected. The PL require 14 out of 20 votes to change anything.3 -
If England lose on Monday evening, can we have a petition created on Tuesday to get the game replayed?12

Biggest Political con artist of my lifetime. UKIP are the blazer and stripped tie branch of the BNP they just don't like anyone with dark skins and now they have managed to engineer this so called Brexit. This is a dark day for the UK.22

Genuinely don't think that bothers him.WSS said:He probably still wants one because him and his party is now irrelevant as it stands...
Like him or loathe him, he's probably one of the only people on the UK political scene who ain't got a hidden agenda IMO

What a load of Bollocks. If you remember in 1975 if you want alive we voted for the trade agreement nothing less nothing more what they have done over the last 40 years without our agreement is disgraceful and people have had enough. Including free movement human rights we vote for a government to run this country not bloody Brussels. Move on you lost end of story9

The politics of socialism. Keep voting till you get what WE want.15

Which bit am I letting go? Scotland? 2% growth? Free movement of goods, services and people?charlton_hero said:Let it go now and move on.
Or perhaps my life long loathing of racism and the far right?
All I can say for certain is that the petition on the referendum has gone over 1.5M today.
The petition site crashed last night under the weight of traffic. It is currently running at 50,000 new signatures an hour.
Those on remain who challenge this situation are not alone - far from it.
And this movement is made up of intelligent motivated people with a lot to lose.7 -

I know of a few people that have signed it as it appeared on Facebook, that didn't vote. In the future all votes should be via social media to make those that are too lazy/disinterested to head to a polling station.seriously_red said:

And that's the thing - 1.5m signatures on a bloody online petition cannot override the democratic process, where does that end ?i_b_b_o_r_g said:

I voted remain and I lost. Thats politcs.18 -
So the petitioners have superior intellect and motivated by self interest? By contrast Brexiters are right wing racist thickos with nothing to loose?seriously_red said:

Sorry, the previous referendum was about membership of the EEC. The founding document of the EEC (the Treaty of Rome), in 1956, established the four freedoms of movement, for goods, services capital and people, it also made mention of ever closer union.dingdong said:What a load of Bollocks. Now, I am not for one instant suggesting that everyone knew all the facts, just as I would not suggest it for this week's referendum, but that vote was not for a trade agreement.
In addition, the Human Rights Act, to which I assume you direct your anger, rather than the concept of human rights per se, is a completely separate matter.
A UK government, running this country, voted it in to being; so that the UK was in line with the European Convention on Human Rights (and its Court), which dates from 1950, is largely British inspired, and nothing to do with the EU or Brussels.5 -

So glad we have you intelligent motivated people to guide us racist leave voters that's all I can say oh mighty one.6 -
Either these people are in a minority, or they couldn't be bothered to vote, both make the petition entirely pointless, it's not going to overturn a referendum, is it?seriously_red said:

Remain LOST... Get over it... You'd be telling us the same if Leave had lost!!1 -
There really is no comparison between Farage saying he will keep fighting for UK to leave the EU in the event of a close remain win and a bunch of sore losers trying to disregard a democratic result just because they lost.Callumcafc said:...if Remain campaign scrapes a narrow win. (16 May 2016)

Maybe they hadn't realised the referendum was happening poor souls. The first time they watched the news or read a newspaper, or even listened to the radio in 2016 was Friday. How can you expect to have voted. It is not even as though they extended the registration deadline to get more to vote. Democracy is a fragile and frustrating process but it is that or something worse, so get on with it.Stu_of_Kunming said:
