To those of us over 50 this man brought a lot of joy to us and a few minutes peace to our parents around lunchtime. Camberwick Green was my favourite, with the episode when Windy Miller got pissed on cider the best. Then Trumpton and Chigley.

Absolutely loved all of them, bought the DVDs a few years ago, and force my nieces and nephews to watch.

    Sad news.

[Edit] One of my favourite days as an "adult" was an afternoon spent in a uni bar, discussing/arguing with some friends about the noise that Winy Miller's windmill made. For what it is worth, they're still wrong.
  • Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub.
  • Who can forget the Trumpton Riots.
