Just home from the " Fanackapans on Tour" tour of the West Country in support of our other team ( KCCC) & having celebrated 2 good victories over Zummerset and Gloucs.
So, would like to thank the lovely Red for keeping me up to date with what's been happening this afternoon in our absence.
We'll be at Orient and The Valley for the Ipswich PSF & have our train tickets for Bury so looking forward to seeing the lads again very soon.

Sounds like a good run out, a decent win regardless of the level of opposition and a start.
Will reserve judgement until they have played the mighty Bromley mid-week. Bromley a league above Welling and will be a tougher game.3 -

Overall i thought the second half team looked solid, not overly sure about pike.
Thought both thomas and holmes dennis looked ready for the step up.
Ricky holmes could become a favourite wuite quickly and thought that he, novak, ajose and ceballos worked well as an attacking threat!
Really impressed with ceballos, seemed a different player and one who wanted to play.

First very lack-lustre, although Ba looked pretty good in the advanced role he was playing. Spurs triallist worth another look. Buxton steady, not sure what Crofts would add especially if Kashi and Diarra stay.
2nd half better. Novak and Ajose linked up well, on all round game I'd say Novak played better. Ajose clearly a poacher and his movement is good. Holmes flitted in and out and looked better when he stayed wide. Ceballos - oh dear. Slade's reaction to a couple of things he did speaks volumes - he won't be around very long.
Teixera looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at Welling. Pike on that showing won't be near the first team. Cousins played some great through balls and bossed the midfield. Holmes-Dennis started terribly but improved.
Better than last year. Slade very vocal. Decent run out. Welling looked poor.6
