Apparently one of our ex players that we sold to Spurs as a 14 year old in 2004.
Must admit I have no recollection of this.
Sounds like Gary Alexander is building a decent side there for their first season back in the Borough.

Richard Murray said at the time we sold him they did not think he would make it and Spurs had overpaid us. He was right!0

Not sure if Richard Murray said he wouldn't make it, certainly the guy in charge of the Academy said it on the old Mike Mansfield programme on Meridian Radio. It was not long after Jermaine Defoe and Jloyd Samuel had been poached by West Ham and Aston Villa respectively, so it was nice to get one over a "big" club. He was a member of their squad for a while, but I don't think he ever made a first team game. A man who might know is our own Jacko, who I'm sure was around Spurs at the same time.0
