Missing Maloney, Morgan, Doughty, Wiredu, AMB, Aoucharia, at least. Not bad strength in depth. Interesting, this season there isn't a single kid in the 1st squad.

Lapslie is still an u23. And, of course, loanees Gallagher, Leko and Field.
Yao, who has been captaining the side lately, was omitted. Injured or dropped? Pleasing that Johl Powell did well at RB, but he might be wasted there in the longer run.
First time I’ve been able to see the U23s this season. I think we deserved the win. The penalty was given for a handball. It was rightly given and was poorly taken. Harness done well to get down quickly to make the save. I thought Harness played well and his kicking from hand was good. Powell at right back was our best player. Caused them problems going forward all game. I thought Dempsey had a good game too. Davison up top holds the ball up very well too.
All in all a good performance from a very young under 23 team. Consider the players that were missing whilst up against a Premier League academy - it was pleasing to watch.
Jason Euell's U23s host Bristol City at Dartford's Princes Park on Monday afternoon (2pm). Supporters are welcome to attend all of the Addicks' development squad matches at Princes Park. Entrance is free for Valley Gold members and season-tickets holders, or £3 adults and £1 juniors on the door. https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5db6a1d6f107d/u23-preview-charlton-v-bristol-city
64' GOAL! The Addicks finally make their breakthrough!
The ball falls to alfie Doughty on the edge of the box, he takes a touch and drills it into the bottom right-hand corner.
73' GOAL! 2-0 Charlton.
Dempsey puts the ball across the face of goal from the right and Isiaka rolls his shot into the bottom corner.
A thoroughly deserved win against a very competitive bristol city side who had 4 giants in their side but alas no creativity in their team.
I missed the first 20 mins due to horrendous traffic on the M25. After a fairly even first half we took total control in the second half. Dempsey was my mom with a driving captains performance from central midfield. Indeed it was his interception and subsequent cross that led to our second goal.
Doughty performed capably at left back but clearly that is not his best position. Pleased to report that Mingi impressed again and seems to have cut out his over playing errors. No one else stood out imo.
Good to see us continuing to climb the table. Millwall away next week - just like the first team!
Will think about making the trip to see the Millwall game.
Millwall's Under 23s welcome local rivals Charlton Athletic to Calmont Road on Monday afternoon in the Professional Development League (kick-off 1.30pm).
The behind-closed-doors affair will see Kevin Nugent's men looks to bounce back from a first home defeat of the season last week, as the young Lions suffered a 3-0 loss to Queens Park Rangers.
50’ GOAL! Venning’s shot from outside the box is parried by the keeper, but Odoh is on hand to nod home the rebound and double the Addicks’ lead.

Would have thought we would have given AMB some minutes given it looks like he is going to be on the bench for the foreseeable. Some Match sharpness would be useful
