Three points is all we have from the season so far, which leaves us bottom of the league.
Three points (i) extensive injury/suspension problems; (ii) tough opening fixture list; (iii) bad luck/referees.
Three points is what we need from Craven Cottage, but Fulham aren't in the business of giving us presents …. in fact they took Santa away from us (and have kept him hidden from public view ever since).
We can expect a tough game - they usually outplay us. Still, this game does undeniably mark a softer run of fixtures (Watford up next) and the likely 'return' of five key new players.
It is the restart of our season, a massive game, hopefully one to really enjoy and remember. Being bottom of the league is an ideal time to show we still care - it could be years before we have this opportunity again, so enjoy it while you can :-)
You might even bump into Claus in one of the pleasant riverside pubs.
