  • Really hoping RS doesn't start all 3 old men in midfield, surely at home to Shrewsbury we can play two wingers?!

It will at least mean we are one match nearer to the end of the most boring season in Charlton history.

Will Solly play a Tuesday night following a Saturday? Possibly not.

In that case we could see Foley shifted to right back with Botaka/Lookman pairing Holmes on the wings. The alternatives are playing Konsa at right back with Johnson or Bauer joining Pearce in the defence. Or THD slots straight into the position.

The big decision will be whether he brings back Bauer.

He was on the bench on Saturday, so clearly must nearly be ready

Would be extremely surprised if Solly doesnt play... Only reason he didnt play against Cheltenham was as a rest

    Lookman Magennis Ajose
    JJ Muldoon Crofts
    Fox Pearce Bauer Foley
    Rudd

The three at the back of Lookman, Magennis and Ajose looks weak to me.

We come good, 2-1 win. Winning goal in 93rd minutes which prompt Slade to run on the pitch whipping his top of in joyous celebration.

1-1, late equaliser from Rudd, up for a corner.
  • If we play like we did first half against Bury, then a miserable uninspiring 0-0.
If we show a bit of drive and ambition we can win this.
    1-0

The definition of ambition: beating Shrewsbury.

I actually think we'll win this. And then the SE7 Valiants Facebook group will suffer a mass orgasm and Sue will spontaneously combust amid talk of winning the title.

Are you sure the Facebook group won't spontaneously combust and Sue will suffer .....

    0-0.

Knock on the door a few times but come up against a decent keeper.

    The doom continues.
  • I'd have Ba in the middle with Crofts

Whats the latest on Ba ?
Still falling over his own feet in training. Still suffering from the colour blindness that means he has difficulty in passing to someone in a red shirt. Still unable to put the ball in the net even after the goalkeepers have packed up training for the day and he is faced with an empty net. In fact, he is stlll bloody hopeless.

Can't believe there are people whose memories are so short they want him back in the team. Whatever you might think of Crofts and Foley, at least they both put an honest shift in last Saturday. Something Ba sadly lacked doing last year.

Ba is crap. But still a better central midfielder than Foley.

Sorry i misheard. They said RoJo is a c@@t.
  • Not sure about this? We so need that first win and Shrewsbury at home looks a good bet for just that. But we still need more players to look that bit more convincing. 1-1 and the gap to the top 6 widens.

A family friends son is mascot tonight.

5-0 home win with Roger Johnson capping off a man of the match performance with the 5th goal of the evening before being sent off for giving a steward a Chelsea smile whilst celebrating.
