Bad enough decision to let him go on the cheap when they did. Not exactly surprising that the regime missed him getting loaned out at a time when we had no fit left backs at all (and even the injured one is pony).

I think DaSilva is like a better version of THD. I don't know that we need three specialist left backs for a season, and I suspect Hudds would only loan him out to a club where they felt he'd get regular first team football. Don't think it was ever on or the right fit.

THD wanted to leave, so he's not going to want to come back !
I have just discovered that whilst I recall the name, I have absolutely no memory of this player or what position he played. Either senility is really kicking in, or our turnover of players is getting silly.

Surely you remember him mugging off that Palace fan Cnut Barry Bannan in his debut when he played out of position at rb. So much so that Bannan had to pretend he was injured to hide his embarrassment.

nope nothing, yet I can recall players like Paul Bacon, Mark Tivey or Jermaine Darlington no worries.
Bannan must be so jealous of us finishing 13th in League One last season while he was playing in the losing Championship play off semi final against THD club Huddersfield on penalties
Huddersfield Town defender Tareiq Holmes-Dennis has joined Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has previously spent time on loan in League 1 with Oldham and more recently Portsmouth last season, but made only one appearances for the latter.
They’re in the Prem, they can do better than him now.
The potential is still there for me, though probably as nothing more than a Championship player.
He’s 22 and never had a full season at one club. His only decent run of games have been in League 2 when he was first coming through and that was for two clubs.
Interesting that Huddersfield have sold him, rather than loaned him out, and that he's ended up at a middling L1 club
To me he's someone who's been slightly overrated on this board. A promising youngster, but never the next big star to emerge
Agreed, always thought he was good going forward but not great defensively. Could still turn into a decent Championship player, but he was in a similar position to what Lennon and RCC were in which is that he needed to play to improve and it just never seemed that he would make the left back position here his own.
I still think if the 700k figure that was thrown around on here is true (and it probably isn't, or that might be an all in figure including appearances), then I think we've done alright business in the end. Hopefully we had a sell-on clause too.

I doubt Huddersfield got much of a fee for him though, so even if there had been a fee, it would be unlikely to be higher than what they paid.
It's shocking the squad we currently have however look at THD objectively.
Bristol Rovers were most likely the best and highest level offer he had unless they threw massive wages at him. That shows his currently level of ability pro managers believe he has. We do over rate our ex academy players if he was that good he wouldn't be at Bristol Rovers surely.. .

This was fantastic.

Just saying we need a Left Back he was decent at this level and he ends up going Bristol Rovers.
If we had a decent owner maybe we would have 2 left backs by now.
You cant go a season with 1 injury prone left back
The season starts in 12 days and we still have hardly any squad, a caretaker manager and a useless owner who doesnt want to be here
