I did my first ( and only ) Bungee Jump in the 3rd kit. Blue and Black diagonal stripes with Woolwich on the front .It was one of the great Charlton shirts of all time ...!!!!
Thanks for highlighting this, I shall watch with interest. My favourite shirt manufacturer and my first Charlton kits were Admiral so very happy memories.
Dad made me wear the grey one when Bobby Robson came to give us our Soccer Star Scheme awards. It was too small but he insisted I wore it. It was like being on stage naked to me. Still got it in my wardrobe. Haunting me.
England kit from 1982 was all-time classic kit for me.
I found my old one the other day and is still in decent condition. I'm taking my daughter to the Malta game in a couple of weeks and she wants to wear it.
I enjoyed that trip down memory lane. I remember having the Leicester kit. Not because I supported them, I just wanted to be different, (lots of Spurs ones about), and I liked the kit. You didn't see anyone else at school in Chislehurst with that lot on in games. But the bit where the government advisor was telling the women who had just been told they had lost their jobs wasn't so entertaining. Apparently they didn't have to work, according to him. Lovely chap from a caring government.
