Corporate tickets warning for Gillingham

Interesting comment on Gills website when showing their ticket purchase criteria for our game (got to be on Gills database it seems)

'As per every home game, our corporate areas will contain a mixture of Gillingham and away supporters. Those Charlton fans in this area will be vetted by the south London club prior to the matchday.'

Has our allocation for this been announced yet?

Seems they are moving the Gills supporters out of the shared away end so looks like we will get the whole end

Millwall were only given top part of the scaffolding last season.

Hopefully we are given an allocation greater than 1.8k to be able to guarantee a ticket.

Can anyone explain what that actually means? What's the vetting process?

Technically that's not true. AFAIK there's 8 or 9 routes for Valley Express and most are full each week.
Let's not give Scally any impression where he can be happy!

Vetting to be done by Roland, via Skype. It's called the Jolly Customers' Mingling Test. If he likes you, you'll be invited to join a committee.

Where you take the cat to have it's nadgers chopped off.
What Katrien and Cojones would like to do to half of our support.
  • Surprised to learn Gillingham has corporate areas, to be honest.

Sounds like John Le Carre territory.

Tickets for Charlton’s local derby against Gillingham on Saturday, October 22nd will go on restricted sale on Tuesday morning.
    George Jones reports

Tickets for Charlton’s local derby against Gillingham on Saturday, October 22nd will go on restricted sale on Tuesday morning.

We have been handed a full allocation of 2,800 seats for the fixture and they are priced at £16 adults and over 65s, £11 under 18s, while under 12s are free when bought alongside an adult. Additional under 12 tickets can be bought alongside adults for £6 per ticket.

We have also been given a number of ambulant disabled spaces and access to six wheelchair bays, which are priced at the relevant age category and include a free helper.

Tickets will be available to buy in person from The Valley or by phone on 03330 14 44 44. They will not be sold online. Please see below for sale restriction details.

From Tuesday, October 4th, season ticket holders who are also Valley Gold members can buy up to two tickets. Eligibility extends to season ticket holders and Valley Gold members on Friday, October 7th and, four days later, supporters on the club’s database who have attended at least two away games this season can also buy.

Fans on the club’s database will be able to buy up to two tickets from Friday, October 14th.

Valley Away will be running a service to Priestfield Stadium, priced at £12. Please see the CAFC Trust website who will no doubt be running a better service :-)

I have had the pleasure of the Gills hospitality and they do it pretty well, all things considered.

It appears my final paragraph has been altered.

However, you could probably walk from Charlton to Gillingham at 11:30AM and still make kick off. (This is actually incorrect)

  • Good pricing to be fair.

Agreed. I doubt we'll get many cheaper games than £16 this season

True, but elsewhere, you won't have to sit in an uncovered, scaffold temporary stand, that is colder than the North Pole.
